Waiting on a DLC before purchasing the game? oh lawd what have we come to.
Waiting on a DLC before purchasing the game? oh lawd what have we come to.
We have come to the realization that we need the modding community to fix the abandoned issues and implement desperately needed customization features.
Anything prior to that is just part of a long and drawn out Beta.
I lost all interest in Fallout4 when I started over for the fifth time, getting back to where I was is more of a chore then fun
Depends I would say If you don't like it, you just used money on the base game, plus whatever #'s there will be of DLC's. So in the end, you might not have saved much if anything. Provided, of course, that you don't like the game, hehe
Guess I'll be a contrary voice as I actually own the game plus all the DLC (if you count Season Pass) and I've yet to install the game let alone play it. It's not so much a case of waiting for the DLC really, more like I played a lot (really, a LOT) of a heavily modded Fallout New Vegas setup prior to this game coming out and I sort of got burned out on the Fallout setting and needed a break. Got back in to Skyrim big time (and Morrowind to a lesser extent), fired up the Creation Kit to work on some mods I'd left idle for more than a year and... yeah, still haven't even played this game once yet.
The state of the game at release when it comes to keybinds also left me cold. I play left handed and everything I've heard said it was a nightmare at release and has scarcely gotten better since so I'm in no real rush to be honest. I'm sure I'll get the itch eventually, but by the time eventually rolls around there should be at least another patch or 3, the GECK should be out and some serious mods / fixes should be available for the most glaring issues. And before someone asks why I'm in this forum given the above as I'm sure someone will, I check in periodically on the state of mods / GECK / patches to see how things are coming along. Needless to say, I tend to avoid the many threads that seem to contain some obvious story spoilers.
That's fine, the more people who started playing, the less bugs this game will have when I start playing.
I'd vote for the option you didnt have. I played a fair bit, but have no intention of finishing the plot or even exploring until its patched up some or the construction kit is released.
Waiting mainly right now on the next patch, to see if it addresses some of the settlement issues. If it does, then I can at least play around with that.
While there are some games I will wait until the 'Ultimate' edition comes out ... and it's on sale, before I buy, TES and FO games are not them since I know I'll get much more than one play-though with them anyway. Note I'll still never buy a Early Access game for any reason. I also won't buy Season Passes either, but my son got me FO4's SP for Christmas so I have to let that one go, though now I am fully expecting to be disappointed in the DLC we get.
what's this "we" chit?
hrmmmm while you "both" are at it, how about not reading this forum until, yanno, like, all the info has been posted on it.
goobers
I'm sorry, my friend. I don't understand how not participating in the FO4 forums helps me with alleged problem.
I mean, what information is supposed to be waited upon and why does that matter to my opinion based off of previous experience within the franchise?
