Anyone else want small DLC?

Post » Tue Dec 13, 2011 11:43 pm

So a while ago bethesda said they were gona focus on having large dlc, that sounds great but i was hoping they'd put in a few small ones like a home for each class like they did in oblivion with fighters stronghold, vile layer, wizards tower, and that thief ship. I want some bigger DLC but i also want just a few smaller ones.

*ahem* NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I'm not paying a crap load of money for small DLC. If they want to add smaller stuff, add them with the next expansion.

I wouldn't download anything like Horse Armor even if it was a free mod.

Bethesda said that there will a few large expansions similar to fallout, which I prefer. Smaller expansions give you the choice of what you want to add, but a majority of it is gimicky.

Um, can't we have both like how Morrowind did it? In Morrowind we got 2 huge expansions as well as small DLCs including stand-alone quests and new armor.

Ya that would be ideal or if they include some stuff (like a castle or wizards tower) in the big expansions

The larger the DLC, the better! I want 50+ hours of added gameplay that includes new caves, dungeons, weapons and armour, classes/races, quests, etc. Expanded it as far as necessary :D

I would like to see the dlc as a large addition to the existing map. This game world is the best I've seen, they don't need to do more, just put some cool stuff into what's already there.

I don't want to see a shimmering isle style dlc for this one, it's not needed. Perhaps a new city in the mountains at the south east. New items, quests etc. New dungeon areas. Skyrim
Is good enough for me, put more in it

I want either a. A housing expansion, I hate current housing, or b. A large expansion with added housing built in

I wouldn't mind it. Stuff like spell-tomes, themed housing, perhaps some new armor and weapon sets... if like with most DLC it's for a small price I don't mind buying them. Especially if they release some nice big chunky DLC like Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles as well.

Ya housing is big for me and the fact that we only have five to pick from (one of which we must be level 20 to get) is sad i just want those special houses we got in oblivion to be either included on their own or with a larger expansion.

Meh. While I don't object to small DLC so long as they don't force a game update like the larger DLC inevitably do, I prefer full blown expansion sized updates. But, playing on the PC where I get the benefits of the modding community which provides literally thousands of free DLC (small and large), I have the luxury of dismissing small official DLC as unnecessary.

Personally I would rather have an expansion pack or two. Though I probably wouldn't be that opposed to having something smaller after an expansion pack sized thing came out.

NOOOOOOO!

Bring on the big expansions!

That is not to say that I wouldn't mind having some smaller add-ons in ADDITION to big expansions. But given the choice of one or the other, you can shove your horse armor up your guar hole.

BIG obviously. But what you really mean is you want all the cool little upgrades (wizards tower, thieves den). Yes, more of that too. But it should be packaged with the big DLC. Who wants to spend more money on a bunch of tiny seperate stuff. I agree with the point he was TRYING to make.

You think Knights of the Nine was big and chunky? Really? Shivering Isles was awesome. KotN, was a big DLC, and a TINY expansion.
