Is anyone else worried about the impact of our input?

Considering how many years TES V has been in the works, it's probably going to be a decent game. When I give suggestions on this thread I don't expect anything to be implemented, I just hope that maybe it will inspire people to think about the series or mechanics of the game differently.

We don't always have realistic expectations. It is up to them to pick and choose not only what would be cool, but what would fit with the feel of the game. If they took any advice its probably the one liners in the suggestion thread that don't need an explanation.

I'm not necessarily worried that they won't listen to our suggestions...

...I'm more worried that they will listen to them

I'd hate to see them implement a VATS or a perk like system just because a bunch of FO3 and F:NV fans kept asking for it. Besides I'd like to see what Bethesda can do not what Bethesda can copy from a previous game they did or copy another video game developers battle system.

I don't know about anyone else, but it kind of bugs me that they told us that they started work on it after Oblivion but only just now announced it and they have enough content already done to reveal a bunch of information about the game next month. I mean, how much do you think they've done? Is all of our input here for naught? I mean, yeah, there has been a TES V suggestions thread for a WHILE before they game was announced, but really a lot more is being suggested now that it's been announced. There are a lot of great and somewhat radical ideas and I really hope they can be included in the final product.

Todd mentioned in the latest Bethesda Blog podcast that they read the speculation threads a lot.

All I want is a map that is the size of the united states, has 100% unique landscape wherever you go, has 525,123 completely unique dungeons, at least 1.5 million people all with unique names and backstories and 383,912 quests that are all exciting from beginning to end. Also cliffracers.

There has been idea and suggestion threads since 2006 for the next Elder Scrolls game. If you go over to the general TES section there are hundreds of idea threads. I'm hoping they've taken some of it to heart. When every single poll (extremely unscientific poll I do admit) has 80% of the respondents decrying certain features from Oblivion, I would hope they modify or toss those features. We'll see won't we?

Don't worry the odds of someone proposing an original idea, at the is point that will be critical to game design, after over 4 years of suggestions is quite slim.

As long as they heard "No level scaling" "more weapons" "more factions" "a horse you can fight from" and other such comments that were made minutes after Oblivion hit the shelves. I feel like they might just because they were often repeated.
