Anyone experience camera pan while standing still?

Post » Tue Mar 18, 2014 10:42 am

Every time I came to a stand still, stopped to interact with objects, my camera would slowly pan - especially frustrating trying to pick locks as my pick would slowly slide either left or right away from the pin I was trying to engage.

At lvl 15 I equipped a bow and when drawing down on a target the same thing would happen, just a slow pan, left, right, or up and down, of my cursor. I know this does not affect aiming directly, but its frustrating.

I have many fps and other mmo and rpg games and do not have this issue with any of them.

Curious if I am the only one to experience this.

Have you got a wireless keyboard and/or mouse? If you have then check they aren't low on batteries and make sure the receiver isn't being blocked. I have one with a small receiver and If I put it at the back of the computer, I get a similar thing happen but with strafe.

Worth a shot.

Edit: another possibility. Do you have a controller like Xbox of ps3 connected to your comp? If you do then try disconnecting it.

I use a Logitech G700. Wireless/wired - rechargeable. Battery holds up well enough, and not too much of a hassle to use corded, which I used all day Sunday. Its weird that I have only experienced this on ESO. I ran through a gambit of about 30 games in my library and it does not replicate. Only ESO... Help! - (or this game will fail /sarc)

I'm not sure what to suggest. One thing you could try is disconnecting your keyboard and mouse when the game is running. Only unplug them if they are usb, I know you said they are through a receiver.

Im thinking its a issue with either your keyboard or mouse. Do you have alternates to try? Btw I'm not saying they are faulty.

I second the "do you have another controller installed" like a joystick or game pad or something like it. If try unplugging it. I've seen this with other games. It was my flight joystick causing the issue

I had the same issue, and I have the same mouse you do. Go to the Logitech website and download their driver package for your mouse, and it will completely solve your problem.

I'll third this, because it is the most common reason I've seen for this problem, both on my system and on others.

Ironically, it can even cause problems with games that don't claim to support joysticks, just to add to the mystery of it all. :ermm:
