Anyone find a vampire hood? : V

I find it very frustrating that if you side with the vampires that the hood becomes rare. Has anyone that sided with the vampires found the matching hood or can only the Dawnguard receive it?

I don't even think there are vampire hoods. I might be wrong, but i never saw one >_>

There are definitely "vampire hoods" they are black cowls.

I have one, but I'm currently on the Dawnguard side right now so I don't know the availability for vampires.

I don't have Dawnguard yet, so I don't know for sure, but I've read a post on these forums that stated the vampire hood was exclusive to the Dawnguard side, due to the existence of some scripted event.

Great! Clans don't need their own clothing anyways. Let us just give the Thieves Guild Dark Brotherhood Armor and the Companions Guild College of Winterhold robes. And it's most likely going to take two months just to fix it, where Bethesda will probably lie the hood on the shelf or allow us to buy it from the vampire blacksmith. Unless it's purposeful.

Hmm, I can't remember exactly where I found mine now - I think I just looted it somewhere though - if it was a scripted event it didn't really stand out.

Also, what I have (which the game calls "vampire hood") is not the same hood that serena has, so maybe there is another version? As I said above mine is a recolored cowl.

Either way, I have yet to come across any added hoods, and I have probably searched for it for five hours with no cigar.

This is really bugging me too. Vampires can't get vampire hoods.
Also, the vampire gloves seem to be only be able to be gotten by the smith in Volkihar castle.
I really wish the normal vampires in caves started to wear the hood and gloves.

It seems that the "traveling stranger" or something is the only vampire to wear the hoods and gloves, but that's related to side quests for the Dawnguard.

Also, the vampire hood is just a black recoloring of the green cowl I think, but I would still like to get it.

When putting clothes, around I just don't know how they forget to make sure the vampires have access to their own hoods! Radiant Raiment should literally just carry every article of clothing in the game to avoid this problem.

Personally I would have liked to see a vampire in the castle selling the new armor, clothes, hood, blood potions, and maybe after finishing the main quest crossbow bolts. But not the actual crossbows themselves.

Never seen one. I've seen a regular "Cowl", but I don't know if this was part of the game pre-Dawnguard.

It also looked fairly boring and I was never going to wear it for my Vampiric Khajiit Lord of Undeath.

Yes it's a recolor of the green cowl - looks surprisingly better in black with some outfits though (female version)
I've definitely killed that stranger too so that's probably where I got the hood and the black gloves. Gloves are nice too.

Kinda odd that you can't get this stuff on the Vamp side.

In the very first cave you go to in Dawnguard, where you free Serana, there should be a vampire wearing one. (At least for me there was)

Maybe it depends on your level whether or not you can find it that's the only explanation I can think of besides it being rare or just not available

(Gloves, not hood): Theres some vampire gloves laying around (the vampire underneath the castle when you looking for the gals mother has one pair in his/her base, and some random vampires (the ones that attack cities) have them.

I haven't even seen a vampire hood in my game. I've been using the Apprentice Hood which is pretty close to black so it matches my Vampire Royal Armor pretty well.

I just want Serana's hood, it should have a custom enchantment to shield you from sunlight. She's always wearing it in the sun.

Just incase you didn't know the vampire hood is essentially useless, since its goes with the vampire clothing set and is just a cowl. They really should have a vampire light armor hood to go with the set.

Not everyone uses the perks that boost your armor when wearing a full set...
