Anyone going to buy the Retaliation Map pack

The maps look great. Hopefully they won't be overpriced like the COD BO ones.

A weapons DLC next would be great.

Buy would I buy a Map Pack for a PC Game, when we should be able to make our own. I'm not going to reward Crytek for not releasing an SDK thus preventing custom maps, and no one else should either.

Charging for this map pack given the hacking and incompetent support that they've done for this game? Before I thought Crytek folks were just imcompetent. Now I see they're beyond stupid if they think folks are going to bother if they're charging for such.

Might as well tell me Trump and Palin are getting married. It'd be about the only thing more unrealistic and stupid. Im beginning to wonder if Crytek is a subsidiary of SoE now with this retardedness.

Buying it? **** NO!!!! FOR WHAT? For instant disconnections from multiplayer? For lack of information about next patch? For lack of simple conversation about game problems? Or maybe for cvars that are not available in game anymore?

NO! I will not buy this. It will be faster for me and I would feel better when I download this map pack for free.
Lets make it clear - they ruined this game by many bugs - why should we pay more? Im not that stupid!

EDIT: ALSO! When I was buying this game after release it costed 150-160 polish z? (~60$), now its something like 110-120 polish z? (~40$) - so I think I paid for this map pack when I purchased the retail version instantly after release!

lol i bought my game at a price considered EXTREMELY low in Australia for a new game. And guess what? I got it for 35 pounds from the UK which is equivalent to around 50AUD. That is 30 dollars below the Australian retail price. So if Crytek makes the DLC 10AUD I still would be happy.

What point is more maps when they haven't solved all the bugs and cheaters still run rampant? 20 new maps played with hackers is still no fun. I'm spending my cash on brink. You all my want to consider it. New game for 50 bucks seems more worth it to me

Doesn't Brink have crappy ratings? Why would you want to buy a game with low ratings? You are better off saving that money for something like Battlefield 3

The first reviews are coming in and they are rather mediocre.

never will pay for mappacks

we need every mappack for free since alot of players had a unplayable game for a few weeks.

if this mappack is for a prize then i know now that the mod tools that will be released to make maps have something locked out.

why would they released a mappack for a certain prize while we can make them for free with modtools.

somethings fishy about that

I really dont know why Crytek needs to put price on additional map pack.
Anyone here remember quake3? Game had few major patches, but then players started to make maps and mods and the game was massive multiplayer.

Quake 3 Arena - Released December 2, 1999. NO QUESTIONS!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quake_III_Arena

I didnt play q3 since few last years but I checked out some online websites and I see that this game still lives. There is even browser version called quake live :)

I would like to Crytek learn from ID and Quake 3 Arena community while making another game.

Edit: damn I really miss that game, it was all about skill (below promode movie)

Crytek: take 0,001% of energy from those movies to next Crysis :)

Maps ripped straight from the single player and labled as new? No thanks, won't be paying for that.

it would be nice to see more maps so as not to be board, but as many others have commented, i would much rather see fixes to the hacking going on then more maps. I believe its an attempt to distract people and keep them interested for as long as possible.

I really enjoy the game and might get the new maps, but i wont keep playing the game much longer if they don't take some drastic measures to stop the cheating going on.

Fix the game first and i may buy it, give us the option to change MP graphics because many people can't view all the motion blur BS.
Anyways BIG FAIL announcing this without fixing game first, piss off!

At last dlc should be free for PC users , for all bugs, cheaters, pirates, and problems with game , both, in single and multi player. If not ? Sory EA, you are starting acting like Bobby from Activision, $ are more important for you than players... sad but true.

PS.Vote for no, maybe then these blood svckers from EA will understand , that we are not like COD players , that are buying every scrap of meat that acti is throwing for them... i hope EA will understand , and there will be like in Crysis 1 and crysis wars ,were maps were for free (i understand DLC's like Warhead , ok , but nothing like this! Paying for maps?! AND what if im in clan , and not all my people have this DLC ? How are we suppose to train/play together ? Only on non-dlc maps ? Nonsense... Why in Bad Company 2 , where are about 6 millions more people playing it , there wasnt stuff like that ? How is that possible? Why there were free maps? EA and Crytek, please dont act like activision in case of multiplayers games, im begging you...

I am not going to pay for something that is going to divide the MP community! Map DLC's don't work on the PC they just make things worse!
