I always play easy or normal my first play through, I do that to get the feel of the game...and to learn enemys tactics. Learn the inns & outs of the game.

Nope.. I play on normal. Always have since it's what it's supposed to be balanced towards. I've never liked how higher difficulty makes enemies stronger as it just turns them into bullet sponges. Nothings more annoying than shooting something in the face 50 times. 'C'mon!.. I'm shooting you in the head!.. You're fricken' dead... Die damn you!"

If there is a survival mode.. yes I will play with that on. I like eating food and sleeping.

I play on Normal, but I might give a hardcoe mode a try if all it does is add the need to eat and sleep, and not just make enemies harder to kill. Like above poster said, making them bullet sponges isn't my idea of fun.

Yah i'll probably dial up the difficulty a notch above Normal from the get go. Early on these Bethesda games are usually a bit to easy.

I play on normal settings, but if they offer the hardcoe/Survival mode from NV then I'm going to be all over that.

I have found this, and looks interesting !!!

On a question on Twitter: will there be a hard-core mode in fallout 4. Similar to new Vegas.?

Todd answer: We'll let you know when the team is ready to talk about modes and difficulty levels. Pass it on.

If there is hardcoe mode, then yes. But "difficulty" setting (massive sarcasm quotes) is pointless in BGS games. Or it has been so far, maybe they've changed how it works, but i'm not exactly holding my breath.

Hell yea i love the wasteland and the sense of utter desperation in terms of survival and resources. I justify the bullet sponge enemies as the mutative byproduct of the Airborne FEV.

I was very disappointed to learn companions cannot die... I truly dont see myself traveling with one until this can change.

Very hard here.

If equal NV, I'm fine. Now if they start clowning around with sponges bullets enemies (which is likely to happen), I'll change to normal.

As I've always played all Bethesda games, Normal.

(...really, how I play every game. I've got nothing to prove, to me or others. I'm doing this for fun.)

Yes hardcoe.

No on very hard.

Usually play hard, but I'll start out on normal for the first run through, unless it gets too easy.

Never really grasped why people play games on super insane difficulty modes.

Its not really relaxing because usually they spend most of their time cursing, screaming, and throwing controllers when things don't go their way.

If they feel like it proves something about them then I'd have to say if they want to prove something about handling difficult then lay down the controller and go rope out of a chopper while you have AK-47 rounds buzzing through your gear and slapping off the side of the chopper then ya [proved something.

I always start on at least hard mode. I like to feel a real sense of danger as I play, to keep me on my toes.

i find out that over the year normal difficulty on any game is just to easy for me, so i normally i star games on Hard, in the case of Fallout if hardcoe mean something like NV i will only play it like that.

I play games for fun, so I always play on normal/medium.

If a game is too easy, it's boring, and I don't have fun.

If a game is too hard, it's frustrating, and I don't have fun.

So I always pick the middle difficulty. It's the most fun for me.
