Does anyone here work in the robotics industry or are involved in robotics?

but in highschool I was part of my schools team for "Robots East" (basically a battlebots competition).. the first year i took part we did not realize a flaw in our design till the evening before the competition so we spent the entire evening trying to alter it to function properly with the few spare parts and materials we had before our first round..
