I have been playing this game a lot. After many hours of play my game has started getting lag hiccups. As in I move and get a small lag jerk. In addition I have bodies all over the place...and god knows how many dragons(I have 6 or 7 dragon corpses out in the country side of white run) and what not keep appearing....like dawn guard for example....I have what looks like a small pile of the bodies(about 40 or 50 bodies) stripped of items outside vohlkier keep as examples. So I was wondering if anyone knows if there is way to force the game to start cleaning this stuff up. I have been reading other posts about things like this....but I don't want to resort to using a third party tool that will clean my game save of these sorts of things. I read in a post after 3 in game days the game supposedly gets rid of some things...but I am not seeing that. So far my save game sizes which I decided to look at....feature this primary character at a whopping 39 megs in size. Second largest game save is 20 megs....with my newest character at 9 megs(this one saves fast and is a huge difference in game play). Yep I made differing characters. Sooooo....any developers knowledge on this might be nice.....the console command pcb doesn't help...I still have tons of corpses all over......I have completed the war campaign and noticed in game there are meetings with the new jarls and such in windhelm...and ulfric's dead body is still there(its been about a month in game)!!!....stripped of items.....but the npcs every so often walk over and comment on him. I also have ten trillion other things all over (including dragons)ever since I decided to follow the headless horseman spirit......big let down it led me to a graveyard with not much there....since I already cleared the area....the net result was tons of dragons and monster spawns.....not sure what to do....should I try and start killing everything? would that get rid of some of my lag? My lag symptoms are my save games take in upwards of 5 minutes to save even auto and quick saves take that long.....cell changes take about 2 minutes at times(like leaving or entering skyrim mostly)....I get the intermittent hiccups....but also if I go into the wait menu and press a button.....it takes the game about 2 minutes to catch up and make the button click noise and begin the wait thing. Sooo any help with this would be nice....this is a game engine issue obviously...so I assume any one who is a game developer or whom is super into the entire cell reset thing...might have some good suggestions on this.

I can't offer you any advice on keeping your game clean, hopefully someone more knowledgable will help. I can, however, tell you that the cell reset occurs after 10 in-game days for regular cells and 30 days for locations marked as cleared. The problem: you can't enter the cell during this time or the counter will go back down again. I'd recommend waiting 30 days (or 31 for safety, wouldn't wanna accidentaly miss a day and ruin the reset inside your own house and then checking if the bodies cleared up.

On a side note, do you use any mods? It would be a good idea to install the unofficial patches, I think they fix whatever cleaning issues were left out in the official patches.
