I see they posted the subscription rates, kinda bummed 6 months is the longest, but it is when it is.

I logged into my account page and don't see the option to subscribe, did I miss it, or will it only be activated when the game goes live?

You'll have to enter your retail code in the box/email before it becomes available.

I bought through the online store, there won't be a code to enter, so I guess that's not it. It likely won't be turned on til launch then.

First month is free remember... there's no need to rush to make your first subscription payment. Relax.

there to my knowledge has never been an MMO that let you sub before the game released. that being said i may have not known of one. needless to say i dont think they will open the sub doors till launch.

If it works like every other subscription MMO I can think of, which I have no reason to think it won't, then when the game goes live and you input your box code in your account to validate your retail game purchase (or whatever code you have dependant on how it was purchased) you will probably have to input some form of payment method at that point (credit / debit card, paypal or whatever they accept). You will then be billed at the end of the 30 days free gametime, the amount will be dependant on the subscription length you have chosen (1 month, 2 months, 3 months etc).

You're crazy if you think you're ever going to ride me! However....

I predict you will be able to make your first subscription payment sometime before or after the 2 week mark after launch.
