http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Sensor_module a list of where to find them in NV.

There are two in Goodsprings and they can be bought from a few traders.

The REPCON Launch facility is loaded with them in some of it's areas. It's somewhere not too far ahead of where you currently are on your journey, if you're following the Main Quest. But you will have to backtrack a bit afterward, preferably with fast travel.

In Novac, there's usually lots of random crafting stuff on the shelves near both workbenches, and a few toolboxes too. Sensor modules should be there among other things. They have to be stolen, but it's easy to steal. (There's a settler hanging out by the second workbench, one near the houses, but he is only there during the day, so at night it's easy pickings).
