Anyone know why all scripts may stop working until reload?

There has been a bug haunting me for years where one of my scripts just stops running. The spell is working but the script just "froze".

I have seen this happen about once a month in my game. But this last time this happen I discovered this is not just my script but all the scripts in the game.

I noticed this because harvesting made the sound effect but did not change the plant model. So I went around trying all the interactive objects I could find that I knew had scripts. The same thing, I would get the sound effect (as it is hard coded) but the script would not run.

So I was wondering if anyone knew (for sure) what might cause all the scripts in the game to stop ruining like that until you reloaded a save game?

Ok, so I actually did finally find another thread about this and it seems to be related to dumped stacks. But how would that stop ALL the scripts in the game?

Can the script system completely freeze from dumped stacks? Is that really possible?

I already do a lot of the scripting percussions in my own mods that are talked about in the thread to help prevent this, but that doesn't mean all the other mods I use also do so. So I guess I will just put up with it. As I said it is a very rare annoyance.

Have you looked through your Papyrus logs? It should record it if a stack was dumped.

Yes. Why wouldn't it? And like mindboggles says, look at your papyrus log
