Is anyone making a character that's in another piece of fict

Post » Mon Aug 08, 2011 2:37 pm

Have you guys noticed the numerous similarities between the two?

The settings are similar

the tone is similar

there are dragons trying to destroy the world and the king has died; throwing the kingdom into civil war.

and then there are the draugr; frozen zombie warriors with striking bright blue eyes that seem much akin to white walkers.

http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Draugr

http://gameofthrones.wikia.com/wiki/White_Walkers

i love both franchises so it will be kind of awesome roleplaying as ned stark or robert beratheon

Do you think im stretching the similarities or can you guys name any more parallels?

Will anyone else be creating/playing another figure from other fictional works?

Come on man. There's beards in Skyrim.

At least make it Wang Fire.

All of my characters are original or descendants from previous titles.

Very rarely can I make someone I'm satisfied with. I tried making Stella (Final Fantasy XIII Versus) in Oblivion as a High Imperial, but no matter what I do something looks really wrong.
For some reason I'm thinking about making Sarah Palin, but I probably won't. I know she's not fictional.

Corwin, from the Chronicles of Amber. It even makes sense in the canon of that series, as Nirn can just be another shadow.

I was thinking of doing a character who's (probably) a wood elf, wears all green with a green hat, has blond hair, uses a sword in his left hand and a shield on the right, also uses a bow, is proficient in magic... you can see where this is going.

I'll eventually make a male Nord named Perrin Aybara that will use only a fire enchanted hammer in battle and have a beard.

God, someone actually watches that crap?

So far, I'm not planning on making any of my characters 'fictional.'

I'm going to play around with making a He-Man and a She-Ra based character. Because they rock, and would fit wonderfully in the world.

Yeah, hopefully the dragon shouts won't screw up my decor too badly. That, and weightless carrots might svck me into a soul-rending physics anomaly.

after playing the EPIC WITCHER 2, if i were to make a fictional character i'd make a GERALT of RIVIA :D
i may even make a BOROMIR from lord of the rings (sean bean's a badass) and i know ned stark is played by bean too, but BOROMIR is so much more gangsta! :D

dear sir....

Xavier is an epitome of philisophical absurdism with a story arc that spans from the principals of prudence to existentialism to phenomenology. All the while riding the aga old quest to kill your father and have six with your mother. Each episode packed such a richly layered pun spun cake of in your face what the [censored]ededness that put any other fifteen minutes format to shame. And has a hero that is worthy of emulation.

But, most others connect more to the balls and farts humor of Robot Chicken, i don't get it but i don't go around calling things of which i'm ignorant crap.

and i say g'day.

I draw some inspiration from other sources, then create my own character, combining ideas from various media.

For example:

Looking at this (possibly NSFW) http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d162/Rhanyan/Fantasy-Women19-Royo-2.jpg gave me the idea for a shamanic-type to play in Skyrim

For me, add to that idea, some concepts from literature, and other art sources, and a character can be created.

An original character, inspired by the various art forms and media.

In this instance, Sibyl, a shaman-in-training who must cope with the realities of Skyrim, as she finds them.

Edit, to add: And yes, I like to watch the HBO series, The Game of Thrones, and have drawn some inspiration from it.

I will have to decide when I figure out which race I'm gonna play. In Morrowind I was Isildur (from Lord of the Rings).

Skyrim female Nord red-head= Red Sonja!

That's all I've got so far
