This. I haven't even gotten any rank of physicist and still spend most of my time in power armor. Having over 36hrs played so far.

I hoarded everything in FO3 and NV, that won't change in FO4. I used the hunting rifle solely as a sniper rifle in NV and I'm going to try it in this game, because the sniper rifle (hardened sniper rifle) that I looted from a mercenary, kicks like a mule that is mad at the world. Gotta be something better.

Sniping is easy but it's so much fun.
I've always liked playing stealth characters.
I have a hybrid build of snipers, explosives and unarmed and it's always fun to reverse pickpocket and sneaking up on people to maul them with my deathclaw gauntlet makes me feel like predator

Nope, no stealth for me. Heavy Explosive/Melee Power Armor build.

The most recoil elimination that I've gotten was with the recoil reduction perk from strength, left & right arm armored with stabilization (recoil reduction) perks, a muzzle on my barrel, sniper perk, & firing crouched. Tbh it still kicked like a mule but all of that recoil reduction screwed me for range.

With a max range weapon, engaging at distance from stealth I can head shot (1 shot) an entire army & never take fire because I'm out of range & hidden. The enemies shot about me being a coward as I head shot them & move.

Later on you can get a ballistic .50 cal sniper rifle & it's game on!!! Then you realize it ALSO kicks like a mule & you need head shots to 1 shot people. If you want a real rush, get open a fight with some super mutants & Fire a Fatboy. I recorded that scene & drool over it. So freaking awesome.
