so when it comes to roleplaying.. you travel to Bruma.. then take out the disc, put skyrim in, and start at the southern end of skyrims map to carry on with the same character to continue in skyrim.

I certainly will.

maybe add some time travel plot and include fallout3.. :P

You are aware of the 200 year difference between the times of the games right? You'd have one damn old character then.

I don't even use related characters across the TES games... Not any that I consider my personal canon anyway. Just feels better, not sure how to explain.

He has already acknowledged this.

Nope. I am going to be only in Skyrim, but I will get into that pretty deep. Might not eat for days. :D

It's an interesting idea. I give you props because Bruce Lee kicks so much butt, and also because that is truely roleplaying a game.

Before he snuffed it (I'm assuming he did), Divayth Fyr was old enough to remember the Dwemer walking around. In real life that would be akin to a man old enough to have known Ramses II. A couple of centuries may as well be two decades. Less even. Sure, that's an extreme example, but then again so are most of our characters aren't they? How many of us have piles of artifacts we can't possibly sell and have completed just about every quest there is? Compare our accomplishments in these games to that of your average NPC. It's like putting a pot-smoking kid working at Wal-Mart against the unstoppable pillar of manliness known as Bear Grylls.

Granted, you'd be limited to playing an elf, but from what I've seen, that's the most popular choice anyway. And I'm not entirely sure on that bit either, as I don't know how long the Khajiit and Argonians can live.

As for me, I'm an Orc and Nord player until I die, so the time gap would need to be significantly smaller (or shorter, whichever it is) for me to do this. Unless I decided it was okay to re-write the lore to suit my playing needs. Or make my character some form of undead, which I'm not into, not in these games at least.

Im going to play the reincarnation of my Oblivion character. Who is the reincarnation of my Morrowind character, who is same for my Daggerfall character.
Yes, temporally it makes little sense. It drives him nuts too.

This'll sound absurd but I've built a RP across FO3, Oblivion and NV in that order. I intend to run it over to Skyrim too

interesting.. can you please elaborate?

It starts in Fo3 and I RP that Earth and Nirn are interlinked (for some reason, they just are :P) and my character ends up in the prison cell in Oblivion after pressing the Krivbeknih against the Obelisk at dunwich in Fo3 :P

Everyone to their own right? If someone finds it fun then that's just how they play the games.

How about just play as the ancestor of your Oblivion character?

Nice daedric artifact.

Yeah, if Doctor Who ever existed in the TES universe he'd so be the Daedric Prince of time travel... :P

Edit: Oh yeah, and the inside of the Tardis is his realm. So he'd have to give you something else.

Thats almost exactly it :)

I roleplay Merari the Altmer who somehow always grows up to be in the middle of earth shattering events, and finds he is the one who is going to have to save the day. And then he starts remembering his past lives. His reincarnations are not temporally linear. He gets born at the right time to grow up to be a hero, save the day, and die.
He calculated that during the events of Morrowind no less than three seperate versions of him were alive on Tamriel and that gives him a headache.

He would like a quiet life for once, and curses the gods who put this great doom upon him.

being the same character 200 years later isnt that tough if you're a dunmer, as mentioned, they can live for a pretty damn long time.

im carrying on a roleplay over a few of the games... if i had been able to play the earlier games, i probably would've carried a story across those games, too... but morrowind was my first TES game.

i had a dunmer in morrowind, he raised/trained a young dunmer after becoming the nerevarine, and that dunmer left morrowind to live in cyrodiil, and after all the events passed in oblivion, he settled down with that young argonian girl in chorrol, and my next character in skyrim will be a dunmer descendant from him.

my other dunmer characters are likely still alive at this point, but they arent in skyrim.

the story has alot more detail, but i didnt feel like this is the place to go into detail on it.

^^ This guy is officially AWESOME.

** Edit..

in response to my OP, I dont just mean travel to skyrim from oblivion.. I mean to and fro.. so I might be 50 hours into a skyrim game then for some reason have to travel to Leyawiin to speak with the count. Obviously I will start from my saved character in Bruma.

I will do that... sort of. My Skyrim character will be Uilliam LaRouche, the great great great great great grandson (by five generations) of Timothee LaRouche, able seamen.
