Anyone plan on doing this..?

Post » Wed Jul 07, 2010 11:29 pm

when Skyrim comes out.. to use 1 character across both skyrim and oblivion?

so when it comes to roleplaying.. you travel to Bruma.. then take out the disc, put skyrim in, and start at the southern end of skyrims map to carry on with the same character to continue in skyrim.

I certainly will.

maybe add some time travel plot and include fallout3.. :P

yeah joke lol.. I know what a tardis is.

regardless.. a cross game RP is what I intend to do. If I keep basic equipment there wont be a problem. Im a strict non magic, non enchanted item user in all TES games. I will include morrowind/tamriel rebuilt once I get a good enough rig. though I draw the line at Daggerfall.

not so.. its the same world and just over the border.

official quests and established lore are irrelevant when it comes to roleplaying.

I suppose it is relatively concievable that you could have been frozen for 200 years trying to cross the mountains into skyrim....

Freak avalanche, that kind of thing....

You could be like the Encino Man of TES...

Or perhaps you were a young dark elf who decided to spend the rest of his/her days in Bruma... untill Alduin showed up. Those Dark Elves can live up to a thousand years, by the way.

I suppose you could be some sort of wizard who has utilized the necromantic arts to achieve an extended life span. Wasn't Divath an oldie?

I would, but you can't transfer character's over, and I'm not sure if you can wear the same looking clothes between Morrowind, Cyrodiil, and Skyrim. I suppose if I were a naked Kajit or wearing robes between games it would work.

When all of the provinces are released all of Tamriel will be available in a single game. Teams have tried this from Morrowind to Oblivion, it will be attempted from Oblivion/Morrowind to Skyrim, and I can almost guarantee that it will be done on the latest version when it's all said and done. It will probably be 20 years from now, but I can't wait.

And if you leave Cyrodiil you start Arena or Daggerfall. :P Nah...I'm not going to switch games.

All joking aside, it would be a cool Roleplay thing to set up a character's backstory as to why they are crossing the border of skyrim. A hooded stranger quietly creeping across the turmoils of Cyrodill from his or her home province only to be spotted upon attempting to cross skyrim's border. Doing this would perhaps give you a feel of where a character is heading and who they are before they start the actual game. Since I have the "Alternative start by boat" mod, it should be a slightly more immersive experience.

This'll sound absurd but I've built a RP across FO3, Oblivion and NV in that order. I intend to run it over to Skyrim too
