Unlike apparently everyone else I can actually see the appeal of doing that for the challenge, it's not a stupid idea.
I'm glad you don't have to pick a perk when you level because i will try to avoid the ones I think are too powerful or don't make sense (by that I mean don't effect me or my abilities but the outside world instead, like the one that gives more gold for merchants to trade with). But I'll certainly pick the crafting ones and things of that nature.
No, but I will play with the difficulty turned all the way up and try and use perks to overcome that difficulty.
This is really how I look at perks and levelling up. It's not about making myself super powerful and awesome, it's about overcoming the games difficulty. So if the game is difficult then it's rewarding to level up and be awarded perks. If it's not then levelling up and perks will be meaningless to me, because I'm not
at allinterested in becomming super powerful. Just powerful enough.
