Anyone playing as a Bosmer?

Post » Wed May 18, 2011 8:42 pm

I was looking at http://i.imgur.com/Sm13o.jpg and thought..."How the hell am I supposed to bring down one of those when its pissed off?"

If you can adjust your height (as speculated) I intended to make myself a Six foot Nord. Then I thought if I am going to have trouble what's a Bosmer http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://www.justsaypictures.com/images/squashed.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.justsaypictures.com/squashed.html&usg=__VeQ3A_Gh8kluTtgYr0SaYw5pGEQ=&h=300&w=400&sz=30&hl=en&start=190&zoom=1&tbnid=JxWwEOF24SmWWM:&tbnh=142&tbnw=214&ei=ZZfsTdqjKcqCswb7vvCACQ&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dsquashed%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26biw%3D1406%26bih%3D623%26tbm%3Disch&um=1&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=296&vpy=315&dur=2744&hovh=194&hovw=259&tx=136&ty=104&page=10&ndsp=21&ved=1t:429,r:1,s:190&biw=1406&bih=623?

I played as a bosmer in Oblivion, but this time round am also being a Nord.

Maybe a Bosmer can have a perk "Lil man syndrome" whereby they become really angry and can jump very high and run fast for 60 seconds

Holy [censored]. I usually play as a bosmer. [censored], I have no idea how I am going to kill a mammoth, or a dragon.

On second thought, I'll just shout that mammoth to death.

Mammoths and giants are non-hostile creatures (unless you attack or bother them), like the brahmin in Fallout 3.

If they have the voice from Oblivion, no worries, you kill them with the voice :D

A bosmer Dovahkiin could be the poster boy for "big things come in small packages".

I played Bosmer the most in the older games and I enjoyed it.

But I did use Conjuration, so my bosmer was a bowman and mage, with a little bit of stealth..

And he did well, and was really fun. :)

But not the best char to make for sure, it takes some grinding to level...

If they aren't small annoying idiots(male Bosmer in other words) I might be inclined to play one. They have to make them really cool though, since in both MW and OB they were sort of a joke(I know some like them, but "By Azura" don't flame me. And yes: I have your ring. Now get out of my face!). I don't hate the female Bosmer though, but I almost never play as a female character.

Hahaha, I know right.

I plan to run backwards and throw poo in its face.....

....don't worry there will be more than enough poo to go around.

I played as a Bosmer in Oblivion and adjusted the height so that I was tall. I'll probably just do the same in Skyrim. I mean, I don't see why I should pick a certain race just because I want to be tall, or similarly avoid picking a race I like because i'd be stuck being really short.

If I want a tall Bosmer, I'll make a tall Bosmer.

Running backwards is slower in Skyrim. So no kiting for you.

I know you're playing an RPG and all, but....:

There are no tall Bosmers!

Until you invented them. ;)

My bosmer will be 40 feet tall thanks to some tinkering in the construction set!

The Bosmer race was actually equally tall as men in DF. And I don't know where in the lore it states that they have to be the size of the Norwegian componist Edvart Grieg(152 cm tall). Also the height difference between males and females looks unnatural.

They are not tall, but not short either. They are average height and skinny, this is how see I a bosmer.

They ARE shorter in the graphics, but in the lore I think they are just around or under the medium.

So the girls are bringing down the tallness of this great race.....but why?

I played bosmers all the time and I never found they were really, really short, it was a thing in my imagination I guess. They do good in any game, EVEN if they happen to be one inch shorter than the rest. :)

And I start as a bosmer again, when the game comes out.

What Vaudoog33k said is very bosmeric.

But I'll have to think about that approach, I'm a male after all.

At least until after my first playthrough. :)
