I wonder if anyone else is trying to play Daggerfall using some kind of ironman mode rules ?
In Daggerfall what i call ironman mode (very inspired of my time spent with Jagged Alliance) is :
-death is the end of your character, no reload allowed.
-only save when you stop playing or before asking a quest/entering a dungeon (in case of crashes)
-never reload because you failed a quest, accept the outcome of it.
-accident happens (killing civilians when you didn't wanted, stealing busted by erroneous click etc...) , accept them.
I have lost many characters like this (some enemy lucky strikes are annoying ) and have currently a newly created Nord with a custom made Adventurer class that just reached recently the level 2 and was nearly killed in a "kill that Daedroth" quest for the Knights of the Dragon.
But i find it more interesting as you feel a bit more involved in the action of your character and are a bit more carefull with it.
And once you have finished several time the game, it is a good way to relaunch the interest of it in case you don't know what to do.
Anyone else is playing with some self challenges, maybe would inspire some people to share your own ?
