I don't plan on buying for probably a couple weeks after it's released. With the industry the way it is, I can't trust anyone, especially any company who does RPG's, if you can even call them that anymore.

Plus, the PC version costs a dollar more than the console versions on Amazon, and $10 more retail than what I'm willing to pay for a PC game. I know I'm not paying royalties, and I know most games at the $60 price point on the PC aren't really $10 better.

Assuming,of course there's still copies around...

And by using Amazon, I think I save £10 off the high street/retail price, making it £40,and I'll know I have a copy sitting with my name on it....

I'm hoping for hardcopy with Steam activation. Then it is a Hardcopy plus unlimited digital ones just in case :D

Oh there's gunna be copies left. Most people play console anyway, my PC habit is apparently a lonely one around here.

Waiting for CE like everyone else.

Although lucky for those of us down under.... We get to fork out around $110-$140 for the CE... Cause our economy is sooo nice to us... If only american 360 disk's were on PAL.

I'm only waiting because I'm moving soon, and I need to know where exactly before I pick a store for pick-up or an address for shipping. Probably pickup, though. And I will be preordering at least 4 games this summer, so I've got a lot on the list. Always CE/LE, too. I don't think I've gotten a regular edition game in the past 2 years aside from Halo:Reach (good thing, too). You can always trust Gamestop for the best preorder experience, imo. And midnight releases. Best Buy is good, too. And if you ever just want a brand new game without having to preorder or worry about a store's stock, here's a secret: Wal-Mart

Actually, the Walmart in my area has sold out some games on the first day. For example, when Call of Duty: Black Ops came out, they sold out by 11 a.m.

Well, I'm not surprised. They're not perfect. But it is sorta a half-ass secret most gamers don't realize. Places like Wal-Mart get the games on the same midnight release, too. Most people go to "game" places, and forget about the mainstream stores.

I count on preorders always, plus preorder bonuses, plus I have to have my CE. So yeah, I don't go there, but it's good for others. Mostly.

I've little doubt that Skyrim will be more than worth buying, but I'm more interested in a (the?) collector's edition at this point.

Not yet, awaiting DRM confirmation. I will fully commit to my Steam boycott, even when it comes to TES, my favorite series on the planet.

I'll probably not pre-order this game because i want to get my hand on a collector's edition and i don't like it when they deliver that at home :P. If the collector's edition doesn't have anything special though i'll probably just wait until it's available on pre-order on steam. Does anyone have an idea if they'll tell us what's in the collector's edition before the game is released?

Oh, I wouldn't get a digital download of that game. I prefer having physical copies of my games. I only use Steam when I'm bored and there's a good sale :P It's dangerous that way...

I have like $9.00 down on it at Gamestop, because I'm waiting to see if there will be a cool collecter's edition. And also to see what other places allow for preorder bonuses. I like Gamestop because I'll be able to go and get it at midnight.

Like many I'm waiting to see what editions will exist. I bought the Halo: Reach console when that came out. I generally like to get improved editions if they have something interesting. Regardless, there isn't any real reason to pre-order so early. It's not like pre-ordering 7 months out gives you anything over pre-ordering 1-2 months out.
