Anyone still play this?

Post » Wed May 02, 2012 5:34 pm

I don't know if it 's just me but does anyone still play Fallout? I have about 600 + hours in it and I still play it religiously, I got Skyrim, played it so much, level 50 + like 200 hours but after a while just found myself back playing this, I love it so much, can't wait for number 4, I will not stop playing it, hopefully. So anybody go back to this temple of a game?

Well, yea I still play it. Love the atmosphere so much more then NV (Whilst NV is a good game on its own, I prefer F3 much more over it), and I have barely touched Skyrim since I got it on release day. I think on my biggest character, I just defended Whiterun from the dragon, almost finished the theives guild and derped around with Sheogorath. I'm still finding things in F3, whether they be things I forgot about, or areas I had never really explored.

I am stuck when it comes to games. I want to play this game badly but I remember the areas that NV fixed/covered in where Fallout 3 lacked, but also I want to play Oblivion but when I start playing I get bored fast. I want to play Skyrim but I want to wait for the CK to come out so I can rp better.

Yeah, I keep coming back to Fallout 3. Truly a magical game in my book. Never finished FNV, or Oblivion. I'm taking a break from Fallout 3 to play Skyrim for a bit. Good stuff, but I keep thinking, hmmmm, I should hike up to Old Olney instead of going to Riften.

Pretty much the only games that go in my 360 are FNV and F3 now days. CoD svcks, BF svcks. I tried Skyrim/Oblivion but I just couldnt get into them. I play F3 once a week at least.

I sure am! I played it back in 2008 when it first came out but I rushed through because it was the second Bethesda I've ever played and as such, didn't know what to expect.

Surprisingly, FO3 doesn't feel outdated at all. In fact, it's much better than Skyrim. The latter's quests are shallow. Also, VATS always keeps the game fresh!

Hell yea! I'm so [censored] addicted right now to this game that it's probably, no, most likely stupidly unhealthy.
I'm staying up until 4-5 am playin it and I've got a full time job which 90% of the time involves driving. God bless service/gas stations with a COSTA coffee shop.

Absolutely, got a new rig for Skyrim and, much to my delight, it runs FO3 totally maxed out with 60 something mods.

Just last night I downloaded another 4 or 5 mods and I'll be exploring new areas/factions for the next few nights.

Ha ha! I got a brand new rig just to play the PC version of FO3! My computer couldn't run it back in '08, so I resigned myself to the "console" version. I now own two copies each of FO3, FNV, and Oblivion- one for the 360 and one for the PC. I do occasionally play my 360 characters too, but I've been mainly playing Skyrim on that, with short doses of FO3 on the PC.

I played Fallout 3 when it came out and I bought all the dlc's. I sold it. But today I just bought it back after not playing it for 6 months.

I searched everywhere for the GOTY and finally found it at Best Buy. Gonna have some fun tonight. :)

I play FO3 ever single day. I do a fresh do over every 3 months or so. But even though I completed this game probably 20 times now, I still find stuff I never had before. As a matter of fact, I just found Rockopolis the other day and finally got all 20 bobbleheads. Not sure why I didn't find it before considering I always look at the Fallout Wiki site for clues.

I started out playing FO3 on the X360 and then moved over to the PC when I got a 3D projector. When the 3D projector died, I got a 27" 3D monitor, however, this LCD monitor has severe ghosting when the 3D depth is adjusted past the default setting.

IDK, but FO3 is like the perfect game. I hated it when I first played it and then picked it up to play one day about 2 years later. All that time previously, I thought life revolved around Megaton! LOL. Granted, I only played it for about an hour then and gave up.

I finished FO:NV a few times but I don't like that game as much as FO3. I might get it when the ultimate edition comes out next month. The graphics will be much better on the PC over the 360 (I hope), however, the one thing that keeps me from playing FO:NV is those damn cazadores.

I did the same thing almost 1 year ago. Even though my old system had 8gb of ram, 2 GTX460's in SLI and a quad-core Q9300 CPU, it still svcked. I upgraded to an i7 2600k, 16gb ram, SSD, same GPU's and now it runs great. I still get random crashes, but not nearly as much as the old system. I also move my game saves from their current folder to another because the game starts acting wonky if you have too many game saves. I also have an edited reg or config file for the game.

Mate I have over 1000+ hours on this game. sad? maybe, fun, yes! I was even playing it this morning, skyrim, new Vegas and oblivion are my 2nd 3rd and 4th favourite games but none of them has captured my imagination or heart quite as well as F3. :fallout:

YES! I am still playing FO3. I have tried FNV, Mass Effect, Dead Space, Red Faction, Metro 2033, Deus Ex HR, and several other games but none are so special as FO3. I am not interested in dragon games so I am not going to Skyrim. i have been gaming since Doom. I hope there is a followup to FO3. Heaven knows they could take it anywhere and everywhere in the world and it would work. FNV is a snooze. the player character is ugly. Doc Mitchell is better looking than the player character. the graphics are good otherwise but the storyline and the characters are not that interesting. and the music is not that good except for Marty Robbins. So I keep coming back to FO3. it is just the best, especially inasmuch as it opens up the world for modders to show off their own talents and creativity.

Bethesda, get your G.E.C.K. on and get busy!

I do still play Fallout every once in a while. Though I haven't played Fallout 3 in years.

Fallout 3 PC is pretty much assured a permanent place in my Active Gaming collection & I've had it since the beginning with the CE then got the Goty when that came out. I am taking a break at the moment with Nevewinter Nights (the classic one) but I will be back in the wasteland

No, nobody still plays Fallout 3, congratulations on being the last person in the world playing it.

I don't get why people ask this so much, They sold millions of copies so chances are lots of people play it. Even if nobody else played it, that wouldn't affect you in the least so why do you even care?

This.

I'm not sure why some people suddenly get the idea that since Fallout 3 over two years old and not the hippest newest thing on the block that suddenly everyone's forgotten about it. Newsflash: that isn't how it works.

Elsewise I must be some sort of super-hipster for playing games from 2007 or even *gasp* from 2002.

People still play Fallout 1 and 2 for christ's sakes.

I sold it a year ago not because it was a bad game, but at the time I needed some money. Although I didn't delete the DLC just in cause I buy FO: 3 later in the future.

I'm playing it right now, New Vegas can't hold a candle to it. I only wish I could get it on the pc so I could mod it.
