Anyone take silent running?

There just aren't many dark corridors to stealth through...so it seems less useful in this game. Anyone take it and have regrets?

I usually take it, because having to "walk" while sneaking is excruciating. Since I rarely use Stealthboys or have Sneak above 50, I find it useful.

I have taken it, did not regret it, other than making stealth even easier. It made the whole process a lot faster.

Ever since playing Thief, most games sense of stealth seems rather mild. Heck, after 'ghosting' all the missions, you get pretty good at being unseen.

I take it every time. I consider it to be a vital component of a successful, fun, play. I take that and "Light Step" and "Sniper" and a few others for every build. I don't know what darkness would have to do with it though.

Every single character I play has Silent Running. I take it as soon as I can get it. Every time.

I took it every time in Fallout 3. I've taken it every time in New Vegas. It's a staple in any character build I make. It's one of my favorite perks. It makes things so much easier and faster. You still have to be smart about what you're doing though.

I don't know if I should answer because I haven't gotten far enough in FO:NV to take the perk.

But in FO3 it is one of the essential perks for pretty much every character I've had so far. I love stealthy characters, but I hate sneaking slowly.

I suspect that unless the sneak mechanics has changed dramatically, it will be one of my favorite perks in FO:NV too.

This is true. I'm taking Silent Running on my new character because my old character still got killed using Stealth Boys sometimes nearby very perceptive enemies.

I usually take it and just leave my sneak at 70.

Sometimes I find it makes sneaking a little to easy, so maybe skip it and just keep pumping sneak.

I'm another that takes it on virtually every character, super-useful perk.
