i wish I could get into alpha but dont have $150.00 to throw at this game as much as i want to also might be too late for alpha any way i just learned of this game

i'm soo excited for it even though its just started closed beta today (i didnt get a code but again i just learned of it like this week)

hopefully it wont be too frustrating even though PvP is a main part of the game and players will most definitely be killed repeated for their resources

everything is crafted from boats to ammo

i wonder if this thread will get other forum users interested and excited for it too

also its going to be FREE TO PLAY wooo

will be monthly subscription like VIP for Mabinogi if you want a house but it wont block you out of areas like Runescape does if you dont pay for it

Free to play never is. They are going to put content behind paywalls and limit anyone who doesn't buy access. Its already clear just from the announcements they've posted. Free accounts are already locked out of selling at the auction house, and they don't regenerate labor points when they're offline; apparently paid accounts do. If those are something that effects gameplay, guess which one is going to have the advantage.

I'd rather have a sub where everything is included. When new content comes out, you get it; if its something that has to be purchased, you earn it. Buying boosts and extra experience and access to this that or the other doesn't hold any interest for me.

i kind of like that auction house will be pay wall it makes it easier to find what your looking for when you actually go to the houses

Mabinogi recently had a free VIP month and every house was filled with crap no one would ever want or need like chicken eggs for 10k each you can get these with in 3 seconds of clicking any chicken (theres about 100 of them in the game and they cant be killed by anything but another NPC and they only die like once every 2 hours and respawn in seconds) any way my point is that free players being able to sell stuff is kind of bad because trolls just fill it up with crap and then players can never find what they are actually looking for

also Arche Age isnt blocking you from quest lines or entire areas like Runescape does with the pay wall its blocking you from probably OP pets and cosmetic items like Mabinogi

i might be a little irked by it if they sell exp boost and stuff that actually do break the game for those that prefer to grind watching their effort be meaningless when new player can just buy there way to glory pets kind of break the game but not as much because still have to use them at right moment and not everyone is going to buy x90 of same OP pet to kill everything on command (going by mabi experience only heard of one player doing this as a joke because they had money to blow and were bored and were on an alt bought 90x bone dragons for about $15.00 per and used its kill on summon special ability to run a dungeon and get 450 gold(need like at least 10k gold to do anything) )
