after selling my 360/games including both oblivion 5th anniversary/skyrim (to help fund new guitar/amp).i came across this patch for oblivion http://www.oldblivion.com/ this has given me hope that i can finally play it again.as my pc is 12 years old :- 1.8 ghz pentium 4, 512mb ram, nvidia geforce 3 ti 200.
would it be worth buying oblivion 5th anniversary for my pc? (if using the patch also) or is it better not to bother?
am really hopeful that i can return to one of my favourite games of all time

Oldblivion is lower than Ultra Low. The game does not look good. This mod exists to let folks who could not or would not upgrade their PCs from Morrowind to let them run the game.

There are some refurbed AGP cards, like the 3650 and the 5500 that will run Oblivion. That and some RAM and you should be able to make the game look like it should for less than $75
