» Sun Jan 12, 2014 11:45 pm I've done a lot of RPs that started up and then died out. I've started a lot of Fan Fics that did the same.
I realized I don't like to do fan-fics because you don't get a lot of feedback. People either don't care one way or the other, or like it enough to give you a bit of encouragement but don't want to hurt your feelings. If people don't like it, here at least, most of them just don't ever respond. It's nice of them, but it doesn't help much. I also stopped writing Fan Fics because I have ADD or something and lack the ability to move past writer's block on my own.
I want to do another story though.
I've been wanting to restart a Fan Fiction I did awhile ago about people trying to get from right around San Diego all the way to Vegas...but I also wanted to restart the RP I tried once or twice about different factions in Florida...so now I would like to combine the two....
I'll be putting together a nice little starter for that to give a better taste of what it would be.
Basic idea however is....
There's a town called Margrave (stolen from Killing Floor by Lee Child) which serves as a central hub in Florida. This will be a stop in the story and serve as a jumping on point for anyone who likes the way the story is going and wishes to join in later on.
There's a town called Boulevard (based on a town called Boulevard in Southern California) which is a small time town on one of the lesser routes leading eventually to Margrave. This will serve as the starting point of the story.
Disney World theme parks have been turned into a large settlement, some parts of it being safer than others, but by and large it is a great place to live.
Up North the Brotherhood of Steel has been taking over most of the East, but ran into some issues as they tried to reach out to The Commonwealth. Since then they have been scouring the surrounding area for remnants of what they found there.
In the swamplands of Florida, which have expanded since the War, there are vague whispers of formless shadows lurking.
Finally, throughout the sunshine state the Danton Family seeks to keep trade moving smoothly throughout the state. Supplying all the small settlements along the highways, running through Margrave, and eventually reaching the remains of the theme parks down south. Though the family reaps a healthy profit they must keep the varying mercenary, militant, and raider groups from plundering their goods, by hook or by crook.
I want to have a few small stories going at once.
One is a small group trying to get from Boulevard to Margrave and eventually perhaps to the theme parks.
One is the Brotherhood encountering something in The Commonwealth.
One will involve the Danton Family and the various groups they have to deal with.
Could also have one about the people in the theme parks.
If any of these interest you please post here or send me a PM. I'd really like this to be an RP as I think if I start it as a Fan Fic it will end up as nothing.
