I am yes. Im buying the xbox 360 release first. Maybe 6 months down the line ill get pc.

The reason being;

1. Achievements
2. I want to experience what the game is supposed to be first non modded. I feel if i get the PC version first i;ll be svcked in
3.By 6 months there may be some dope mods
4. also waiting for a 64 bit patch and possible quad core patch which wont be available at laucnh

I can get it for PC or PS3, and from what i've heard Bethesda doesn't do PS3 versions too good. So, no. But it is comforting to know that even if my PC explodes before november i still get to play it :hehe:

First of all,not all PC's are the same and i've seen awful lag on some of them.
It makes me laugh ,that PC users only mention the few good things and not the bad side. A PC can give you many, many more issues than a console could.
PC gaming isn't all a bed of roses....i've been there and done it.

Trying to convince people to go to PC is a desperate ploy, because consoles have taken over. People like in-expensive things, ease of use etc. Consoles have done great things for the gaming industry in general. Despite how old the consoles are, they are still selling like hotcakes, there is a happy medium with them. They are only going to get stronger whether we like it or not,and even more so when the next Gen arrives. Games companies wouldn't be spending half the money they do on games if it weren't for consoles.

PC gaming can be very rewarding, but frustrating at the same time. It's not everyone's cup of tea.

I have a gaming pc, 360 and PS3 and I like all of them but PC is far more rewarding and if you have some kind of clue and if you have access to google you can fix about any issue you might come across.

I have not had one issue with any games running on my pc so I can’t agree with it being frustrating.

But then this is just my personal opinion and I don’t doubt that the console versions will turn out well, it’s just that I know for me the pc version will be a lot more immersive and enjoyable.

And I would not say "Trying to convince people to go to PC is a desperate ploy, because consoles have taken over". Just not true.....PC is doing fine and some devs have said they are expecting PC gaming to even pick up a lot. The MMO market alone is making a killing and games like COD and Battlefield 3 make a crap load on pc. In fact BF3's 1st priority from what I understand is the PC and the console versions are ports....as I remember it anyway.

You are just one of the lucky ones then, been PC gaming going back to the early 90's so I have a very good knowledge of reformatting, installing windows apps and games and making them run; saying that I have lost count the amount of times I have had PC problems, hardware issues, Windows Issues, games not liking my Windows installation, reformatting and starting again etc etc etc. There are times when every one of my expansive collection of games would run then something would come out that wouldn't and I would get hard crash after crash! Fallout 3 was one of these titles and this spelt the end for my Desktop Gaming! I did EVERYTHING to get it to run, reformatted Windows just for this game, installed and tested 20 different types of video drivers, motherboard drivers, you name it, not even 5 mins in FO3 would CRASH back to the desktop and even sometimes hard crash requiring a reboot. Fast forward 5 months of frustration and I bought FO3 GOTY for my PS3... sank over 250 hours into it and only had 4 crashes in that whole time! A few weeks later my Powersupply in my Desktop blew up taking the Motherboard with it and probably CPU, that was the end for Desktop gaming for me, I had reached my limit.

This is my point, even though I am an experienced PC user even I have my limits, simply put, you put the PS3 Blu-Ray in, click Play and Whalla it works! No finicking around with Windows trying to get games to work, no mucking around reformatting, no Windows, it just works, and trust me when you have limited time to game with a new family you appreciate your time being used to game rather than with frustration trying to get game A and B to work! Oh then there is the fact that I can game in 52 inchs, Surround sound, and it is MUCH cheaper I would estimate I have spent upwards of 40k upgrading my PC's over the years, my PS3 hasn't broken once in over 4 years (touch wood) and I have the original 40GB version!

We seem to have the opposite problems I guess.

I had a videocard go out on me about 2 months ago (gtx460)….sent it in and got a new one back for free then sold it on ebay and upgraded to a gtx560 with the cash I made and spend like an extra $50 on the new card. That’s about the only issue I have had other than a window install that went a little wacky….but a clean install fixed that right up.

On the other hand the 360 failure rate is way up there…or was at one point anyway. I had to send in two of my 360s for repair….but then the one I bought last Christmas was a new model and I have had no issues since. I also had to send in my PS3 for repair because the fan would go into crazy high loud mode and sounded like a dang airplane in the house. Luckily it was under warranty and I have not had an issue since.

The point is that any hardware can fail on you. I believe to send in the PS3 if not under warranty is like $150…..that’s crazy. My video card had a lifetime warranty and I had a new one in less than 2 weeks. So you can have issues with consoles as well and 360 owners know very well about this.

With my PC if something goes out like a videocard or hard drive or RAM goes bad or whatever….I can fix it myself.

On average I spend about $150 - $300 a year on my PC (depending on what needs to be replaced) and it stays upgraded and it’s worth every cent I put into it imo.

And to be honest whatever problems I might come across are worth dealing with for the PC experience.

(snip)

From my own experience (16 years of PC gaming), I can assure you that 99% of computer errors are due to the user' fault. There are few exceptions on that rule, although the truth is that it's damn difficult to screw it up. In practically all those years, I've mostly had PC's with a version of Windows installed with Administrative right by default, no password, no firewalls and no antivirus, and never had any virus/crashes/anything problem. At the most, the most annoying I've to report is that two video cards died for me (a 6600GT and an 8600GT, both good brands), and that, due to sudden light-outs, two mobos (one of them my very actual one) started having problems when booting up. But the second thing was unpredictable, and still could have been prevented if I had bothered to put an UPS in my system, which due to greedy or laziness I didn't (but I will for my new system, I swear).

Why did I've only had 4 hardware issues and literally no *traumatic* (e.g, ones that even now I can bitterly remember) software issues? Because it's not the same cheap components than quality ones, even when talking about power supplies (as my current Gigabyte one recently proved). Cheap and brandless/unknown brands stuff = more potential for failure.

Apart from that, the standart...OS updated, drivers updated, kept the system clean, the usual formatting and cleanup every X time...it's really not so difficult to keep your PC in shape.

I agree. The only other thing I do is keep the dust out of the case...takes all of 3 minutes.

I have a gaming PC and sometimes I do get the console version of a game when I feel it will give a better game experience by playing on the couch with a joypad and rumble instead of sitting by the PC and play with a mouse.with no rumble.

However, this have never really been in my interest when it comes to the Construction Set games published by Bethesda. The PC version simply have too many advantages, with faster loading times, better framerate, less limites (like how it was much harder to get an overflow loot bag in the PC version of Morrowind) and so on, not to mention the Construction Set.
