Anyone on Xbox Surpass The Settler Cap? 30+

Post » Sun Dec 06, 2015 12:08 am

Ops posted a few days ago about his video where he shows 62 settlers at his settlement. Others have stated they too have settlements with 30+ settlers. Although they seem to be on PS4. Others have said they only have the 10+Charisma despite being high level and having huge builds. So I wonder if anyone on Xbox has experienced this? If not then it can be assumed the massive amount of settlers are a PS4 specific glitch. If so then the source of this phenomina is yet to be identified.

The cap should be 21 (max charisma + 1 if wearing charisma boosting gear, if I'm not mistaken). No idea how to pass it myself and don't care.

Most I've gotten is 21 in Sanctuary. Base 6 charisma, Reginald's suit, glasses and hat for +5 more. Haven't tried any chems yet.

On PC, nowhere near max charisma - only base 7 + 4 from temp clothing. Even assuming clothing boost is permanent, I have 23 settlers in handful of my most developed settlements.

According the assumed formula, 21 should be my max even if clothing boost was permanent after taking clothes off (10 + 7 + 4)

Only constant I see for exceeding 10+charisma is happiness -- all settlements i reach 85+ happiness, instart to attract more settlers than the formula assumes is max. I believe either a bug or formula is wrong and does not include happiness modifiers.

if that were true you could just take the gear off when your done doing it would the cap lower and kick settlers out or would it stay the same? That's why they did not let gear affect it, their should just be a perk for it.

I'm on Xbox and I've got 2 settlements that have passed the supposed cap.

Greentop has 36

Starlight has 29

I'm on Xbox and have several over 30, including 3 over 40 (Kingsport, the Drive In & the Co-op) and one (The Castle) with 99 as my population cap didn't seem to click in

Note: My game crashes every time I fast travel straight to Castle

38 at Greentop Nursery - I hadn't travelled there for some time and when I did I found the population had spiked. Only had 4 beds too so some interesting sleeping arrangements snigger snigger

Edit: XBox One

The max is 21 without charisma boosting gear. 10+11 charisma due to bobblehead. It goes as high as you can make it so long as you keep the gear on. Say you have something boosting it up to 15. Your settler cap will be 25

When you wear clothes and take chemo and liquor it can boost up higher than normal. Graqe mentats give you +5 Charisma.

I wonder if this is what's causing the mass influx of settlers? Do the numbers decrease when the chems and acohol effects wear off? Do settlers leave settlements on their own?
