So at the start of the dlc ive tried 4-5 times and they die everytime, so i left it but i may go back and do it again
one of the reasons may be im level 7 and like to do stealthy Killing

So if any of you have managed to keep them alive to tell

Yeah im pretty sure they all die cause i killed most of the white legs before anything happened those explosions that happen at the start are automatic i think and theyre all in that area so they all die

Yeah they're scripted to get butchered. I do feel a little bad about letting Ricky go with us though. I know I could've made him stay in the Mojave, but the increase in allowed weight was too tempting. So now he's a blood-and-guts paste in the Zion Valley. :bonk:

i honestly didnt care about him i wish we coulda saved stella with a speech hang behind me or something i wouldnt of minded her as a companion she coulda been interesting
also i only walked in with less then needed carry weight so i didnt need him i did enjoy watching him put his hands up and get slaughered did anyone else see that?

I love how that Jed Masterson guy saw Stella get capped, shouted something along the lines of "Don't you go dying on me, girl!" and then got his arm shot clean off. Man what an opening, best for any FO DLC yet.

I went back and tried a few times, they all die.

And I ran Ricky off before we even left. Got XP for catching him in all those lies.

The first time I came across the ambush, Jed, Stella, and Ricky all survived. I tried to go back and talk to them to see what to do next, but they all gave "busy" responses like they were in the middle of a battle even though I killed all the White Legs. When I couldn't figure out how to proceed, I reloaded to the beginning of the ambush. This time everybody died like they were supposed to, but I thought they were supposed to survive like the first time, so I reloaded like 10 times until I came into this forum and learned they are supposed to die!
