If it works for you sure.

Here are some in game screens of the new potion models.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v217/AnOldFriend/Potions-3.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v217/AnOldFriend/Potions-4.jpg

Most of the models are probably obviously smaller then the original bottles which will make the shelves that the originals are on appear less cluttered but I don't think it is so bad personally.

The models use Reflection/environment map, normal/bump maps, and the liquid has glow maps, I quite like how they look with a bit of glow. :)

I would also like to credit Painkiller and thank him for his past tutelage and for the fact that I used and abused his coin model to get these models to work right. I sort of forgot after all this time how to add all these effects in nifskope, so the coin was a life saver. :)

And also yay for stencil property, couldn't figure out how to get it to work, but by some freak accident I got it working. Go me. :D

So anyway, I am thinking about doing the liqueur bottles also which, if I do, wont look like these I promise haha.

Those look absolutely stellar. :D

Whoa. \
Gentlemen, we through the looking glass.

EDIT: Hey, speaking of looking glasses, has anyone made a working mirror yet? Maybe it would work if you spawned an NPC that had the same face, hair, and equipment as the player, and put it in a room on the other side of a transparent mesh. I have no Idea how you would script the AI to mirror the players movements, though.

FURTHER EDIT: And then the transparent mesh is disabled so it can step through and attack the player. And then after you defeat the doppelganger it's time to explore the mirror world...

Cheers matey, glad to hear I've been of help! :foodndrink: The coins are, indeed, a better reference than the shields, as the differences are much easier to observe. Sorry I wasn't available lately for direct help, but I've had some personal life issues, so I'm only visiting the forums occasionally...
I'm off to download all your releases - everything looks quite good! ;)

Impressive, I'm already using http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=750, but for these, I think I'd be willing to part with this.

A question, though, will the colors of the liquid inside the bottles vary depending on the school of the potions' effect like in Potion Upgrade? Also, will the potions be renamed so that they're sorted according to effect instead of quality? That made finding the particular one I want much easier.

In any case, everything I've seen in this thread looks quite impressive, I am pleased.

I haven't used that mod in a long time, mostly because I wasn't quite satisfied with how the potions looked. Anyway, I am not a modder I just do textures and models. I really dont know how to do what was done in that mod nor do i know the colors for the schools of magic. Anybody who knows better how to use the CS and junk is more then welcome to use these potion models in a mod like the mod linked to above. Until and if that happens they will be as they are.

The potions are done and I will UL them when I get the chance. :)

So on to the Shacks.... this is still WIP and will also include the docks as where ever you find shacks you most often find docks as well. :)

The docks are still being worked on, the textures on the docks in the screens are Connary's work. :)

I'll be honest AoF I think texture replacers svck. There isn't a single one I'm happy with. They are often to flashy, colours don't blend with themselves, or people make everything look brand new. Sometimes I think that people think that any new texture will do just because its new or high rez. Sometimes I think to myself, am I really the only one who doesn't see how that just looks bad? I'm I just insanely picky? I look at your new stuff and your textures are dirty, dark, grungy and down right depressing. They look lived in and materials look scavenged and old. Wonderful! I honestly thought that connary would be my only hope at a having a decent texture replacer some day but your stuff rocks! Please keep up the good work! I feel like you take a step back and look at your scenes as a whole and think to yourself... Does anything stand out to much or does everything co-exist? Bethesdas originals co-exist and that to me is truly the only way to make a good replacer

At first I thought this was going to be a hater post, in which case I just ignore you. :P

Thank you, I appreciate the compliment, the idea most certainly is to get everything to fit well together with my other textures and some of Connary's older textures. :)

Are those potions going to be pluginless? I've been dying to use http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=184 with a replacer for the way the actual potions look, and up till now http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=750 was the best one, but it changes the way the potions are sorted, and the colors of the potions or the liquid in the potions changes based on the magicka school or the quality of the potion. If I merged them with TESTool, all the potions become yellow, which doesn't look bad, it just sort of defeats the purpose of the mod.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, all your stuff looks great (from what I can see anyway; screens are a bit dark; might be my monitor); I'll have to download them ASAP.

i would give it a try inspired by the way schwaa did it. so sort them by type not by quality and give the potions the colour of the magic schools. but...

due to my german cs i could only do it in german. so there are two possibilities: i make it in german and someone is translating it back to english - or somebody makes a second attempt.

what do you think, aof?

Well I am not certain, but I think the only real translation that might need to be done would be the names of the items. I really don't know how Schwaa made his mod but I would guess using his as a framework might be an option. :)

I will try to get the potions uploaded today at some point. :)

okay. i will download then and work quietly on it.

i think you only have to translate the potions. i really forgot if i had to translate the cells when i translated schwaas replacer to german, because i use a tool for it, that does this in seconds for me. it will try it out :)

I think before I Upload these textures I am going to go and retexture the boats and ships as the boats use some of these same textures. I will probably assign new textures to at least some of the boats to make them more unique. :)

Yes this has been brought to my attention as well as icons. I was going to make one for it but I didn't know its purpose, I thought it may have been one of them extra models Beth left in so......

I will try to get to that in the next few days after X-mas and junk.

By the way happy holidays everybody, I hope yall get lumps of coal. :stare:

i need help.

with aofs permission i'm just making a mod out of his potions, using different colours for different effects. i will make a german mod and are nearly done with it (just to have to implement the icons) and an english mod (which i just began). now there is my problem:

if you only replace the meshes some potions (esply the quality and exclusive ones) are floating or sinking in the shelfs. it's no prob for me to correct that in the german version, but i need someone who does this in the english version (because of the english cell names).

is someone out there willing to help me? i would just send out the esp and meshes so everything else is already done and implemented.
