APB to close after 3 months

After 3 months of operating and Mixed Reviews, All Point Bulletin is to close after the failure of its owner Real Time Worlds (although to be fair there is a chance Epic may buy the game to keep it going)

So, given RTW's failure, any hope this might stem the time of MMORPG's as developers realise the huge cost and small odds?

This game had real potential, the character creator is among the best, if not the best I've ever seen. A shame they didn't make the actual game better, I hear Epic games is looking to buy the rights though, if they're planning to improve on what RTW have already did and re-open it for play that'd be amazing I think.

Kind of reminds me of The Matrix Online where it was owned by Warner Brothers then sent to Sony Online Entertainment. Sadly it had potential too and it was closed about a year ago.
