Apocalypse shock spells?

Post » Sat Jul 12, 2014 6:47 am

I've added both Skyre and Apocalypse spells (given to enemies via ASIS) this time around and I really hate one of the shock spells, which incapacitates the PC while having the duration so he/she can't do anything other than watch herself/himself lying on the ground in third person while losing health. Couple that with the spell being casted repeatedly and the PC is pretty much helpless. It also has messed up the camera a couple of times so I can't return to first person in the middle of the fight. Anyway, as I'm rather new to both Skyre and Apocalypse I wonder if someone recognizes this shock spell effect? Is it from Apocalypse? If so, what's the name of it? I want to add it to the exclusion list for ASIS.

Other than that I really like the combination of Skyre, Apocalypse, ASIS and Loot & Degradation. It makes the game quite challenging and fun.

EDIT: Seems to be https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJdSPup9AyE, perhaps? I'll add it to the exception list and see what happens.

EDIT 2: Yeah, http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/662142-apocalypse-the-definitive-spell-package/page-512 - goes through walls as well.

EDIT 3: Yes, that was it. I also added Warpstrike to the exclusion list.

Funny you should post this, that particular spell is the reason I disabled ASIS spell distribution after my level 25 character could not defeat a bandit :P

Yes, it's extremely annoying. I really dislike paralyse-like effects. Plus it goes through walls and everything so once an enemy with the spell notices the player there's no way to avoid it. :wallbash:

But it's nice that you can add spells to the exclusion list. BTW, I also had to add Draugr to the exclusion list as the ones casting magic (Restless Draugr etc.) tended to just hold a shock spell in their hands (Jolt?), but never cast it, so killing them were like shooting fish in a barrel. Besides, even if they could cast it I think frost spells are more appropriate for those undead nords.

True, it is worth mentioning how customizeable ASIS is! I disabled the spell feature because my main purpose for installing ASIS was to have better wilderness battles, 2 wolves is irritating but 5 or 6 is actually fun :P
