Appearance of Bretons, Nords and Imperials

I am working on collecting data for articles on the Imperials and the Bretons on the Skyrim Blog, but I have a very basic problem actually. I want to describe the basic physical differences (on average) between the caucasian human races. I keep reading on the wikis and random websites that the Nords are tall (the tallest), blonde and blue eyes (pretty much real life Nordics), the Bretons are short, dark- to medium hair colour, and pale skin (French and British?) and some have eveb slight points to their ears?! And the Imperials have that olive skin and dark eyes and hair associated with Southern Europeans (Spanish, Italians). I know it's a very basic thing, but I want to see actual cannon sources on this very basic data, because my articles would be (hopefully) in-depth and everything must be cited. So, do you guys know of any in-game books, dev posts and other types of cannon data, which I can use to cite?

Bretons have been refered to as a http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Arena:Races#Breton and http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Daggerfall:Races#Breton in the past and have always been the same height as the imperials(who are the same height as Dunmer). The men are, anyways. Breton women are adorably short.

The appearance of Imperials has never been "standardized" that much, at least not in-game. I guess it depends on whether they're Colovian (heavily mixed with Nords) or Nibenean (possibly the ones in Skyrim and the reason they have olive skin and dark hair?). This might be a stupid suggestion on my part, but I think the PGE would be a good source of information for this sort of thing--at least for Imperials.
