For that sort of character i would be Dunmer. For a straight archer though, i'd be Altmer (High Elf), cos they look more like archers than the poor depiction of Wood Elves.

From a first glance, a Khajit, although I really would love to see what the other races look like, and their racial attributes as well. Hopefully they will be more substantial than Oblivion's, making your choice in race actually important.

Have loved woof elf archers/ranger since the first time i played EQ and have generally made one in most every game that allows it so thatll be my choice.

Also i wonder if the footage of the guy readying to shoot the wolf with the bow in the trailer is actual gameplay...if so, looks awesomeeee

Definitely not going to make an archer/thief for my first playthrough, but I know I will eventually and will probably choose a dark elf/dunmer for that.

Everybody is always hating on the Bosmers (yes, I know they sort of ask for it), but they are in my top 3 favorite races anyway. I've always been able to make mine look like a complete BAMF.
Since Morrowind, I've usually had a Bosmer assasin as my first playthrough character, but this time I'll save him for third or forth. Gotta give a Nord the spotlight this time.

Cant stand Bosmers, there the race I dislike the most along with the Altmer, il be going with a Nord for my first playthrough.

Heh, well I cant blame you, all the Dev generated Bosmer were pansies. But in Morrowind, there was one really pissed off looking face available, and I chose it, then in Oblivion using the custumization, my character sort of ended up looking Native American.....I'm hoping we get horn options for them this time around (one of the face options in Morrowind had small horns)

Yup. Adrenaline Rush comes in handy in those "fight or flight" moments when you get detected.

Just because I sneak a lot doesn't make me a thief, and just because I murder from the shadows doesn't make me an assassin.

I use a bow almost exclusively. (But if the archery skill is really limited I might have to rely on restorations more than I usually do.)

I am a Breton, I use my magic to give me an edge, I kill from the shadows because I like feeling safe while I murder. I don't get paid to kill, nor do I use my skills to effect political change, so I am not an assassin. I don't use my stealth skills to steal from others so I am not a thief.

There are no classes so I can't be pigeon holed by some arbitrary title, I would never be either of these people though I will gladly use their skills.

Yes, and that is why I would play another race. Playing the best suited race is okay, but playing one that has to work harder is more fun for me.

If the npcs in the game ridiculed the bosmer as the people who post here I would easily play one

Usually i would pick a Bosmer or a Redguard for that class

Female Bosmer. The males just look silly but that might change in Skyrim.

Actually, to play an assassin, you don't have to use a bow or play as a Bosmer to be efficient.

For my archer/stealth character, who will be the first actually, backed up with dual wielding daggers the race of choice will definitely be khajiit. My fav race.

Sword'n'board: Nord

Fighter magi - staff & magic , doul magic : Altmer

Paladin/crusador: Breton

illusion assassin: Argonian

2h-berserker: Redguard

Will prolly try a conjure out but havent decided on race yet
