Archive Invalidation question?

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 9:57 am

For the mod Wearable Backpack - Blackwolf Backpack: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2553

In the Readme, does this mean basically toggle archive invalidation?: Find and change line "bInvalidateOlderFiles=0" to "bInvalidateOlderFiles=1" in files "Fallout.ini" & "FalloutPref.ini".

Thanks.

That only allows archive invalidation to occur, you still need an outside means of toggling it. If you have FOMM, then it includes the option of toggling archive invalidation on and off.

So I still have to do this ("bInvalidateOlderFiles=0" to "bInvalidateOlderFiles=1" in files "Fallout.ini" & "FalloutPref.ini") regardless if archive invalidation is on (I have the New FOMM for 3 and NV)?

Sorry I'm really confused, its probably because I haven't gotten any sleep for a few days

Yes. If you don't change the flag, then FOMM will be unable to toggle archive invalidation. As I mentioned, that line only allows it to occur in the first place. Otherwise the game will always use the default archives. It doesn't actually change anything itself though, you still need FOMM or some other method for that.

Alright, I just checked the int and it was already set to 1 so I'm good, Thanks for the help, I just got a little confused there!
