Are Argonians nerfed?

The only use I've found with the Khajiit racial is with quests that involve h2h'ing people. The night eye is pretty useless simply because no area is too dark (that I have come across yet) and the effect seems to make it harder to see than easier.

One useful thing I've found about Night Eye is that it exaggerates the shadows, which makes it much easier to stay inside them. The blindingness of the light helps as well.

Argonians are lizards. Lizard slaves, specificly.

You're just butthurt because we invaded your pathetic land and now you are our slaves. Scum.

Ye, Histskin is one of he best racial powers.

It's a great way to lose Restoration skill XP, nothing else.

Argonians aren't lizards, they're dinosaur-types who are descended from trees (in the sense that their ancestors are trees, not that their ancestors "came down from the trees and walked on land").

..

Khajjits also range from wood-elf looking with cat ears and tail (imagne typical anime cat-person), to large 4 legged cats with absolutly no human features at all.

And even among the four-legged ones, they range from giant-tigers-who-other-Khajiit-use-as-warhorses types, to mute-magic-using-housecat-sized cats.

edit: Also, was The Argonian Account ever said to be anything but fiction? It might be "poetic creativity" along the lines of the first Pocket Guide to the Empire.

The only use I've found with the Khajiit racial is with quests that involve h2h'ing people. The night eye is pretty useless simply because no area is too dark (that I have come across yet) and the effect seems to make it harder to see than easier.

I use a darker dungeon mod, and Night Eye doesn't actually make it any easier to see in dark areas  looks like all it does is wash out the screen and add that blur.

Are Aronians nerfed in TES games? I can't rememeber how I played them in Daggerfall now so maybe they were not nerfed back then but in Morrowind, Oblivion and now Skyrim, their special power is water breathing. First of all, why it took over 10 years for me to realize this, is Lizards DO NOT BREATHE UNDERWATER. So why would Argonians do? In Morrowind thier special power was Water Breathing, but it was cast as a normal spell that anyone could get. While you got it for free, it wasn't such a big boost over all. At least in Oblivion it didn't cast magika so it was something a bit more. Now I never played an Argonian yet in Skyrim, so not sure how it actually works, if it costs magika or not, but from playing Skyrim, I don't see anyplace where you need to be underwater now. I mean, I haven't been anywhere that needs you to be underwater without worrying about drowning. (I think I read there might be a place or 2, but not really Wowing or impressive, so agian not worth taking an Argonian. I got a water breathing spell now, and since we can't cast magic spells underwater this might be the only time we really need to be an Argonian.

Thing is, without any great or underwater places we need to visit, being an Argonian is kinda of nerfed because their "special racial power" is kinda of moot. Yes their other one is usefull but the water breathing I find week.

So I got 2 questions, why does Bethesda think Lizards breathe underwater, like they were fish? Argonians are not fish.

Also what am I missing out from not playing an Argonian in Skyrim? I love them, was going to play an Argonian, but chose Altmer because it suited me more since I feel Argonians are kinda nerfed. What am I not seeing in them?

Elves don't exist. Ebony is not a metal. Etc etc. It's a TES.

As for argonians, they are definitely one of the best races. Only orcs might be a bit a better than argonians.

Argonians aren't lizards, eh?

They are cool blooded, have scales, and have lizard-like features.

Just because they are anthropomorphized does not mean they aren't lizards.

By that standard, Khajit aren't cats; even though in the lore, and the games themselves, they are referred to as cats. And Argonians as lizards.

Lizards don't have gills.
There are many forms an Argonian can take.
Spoiler
UESP:
Tribes
Argonians usually live in tribes, each having their own customs as well as differing appearances. There are a few known tribes:
Agacephs: Most have needle-like faces and vary in color from bright green to orange. Found in inner Argonia, near the Hist.
Archeins: During the era when other races tried to put plantations in Argonia, Archeins were very powerful, and made fortunes by selling other Argonians into slavery. Since the other races realized Argonia is unfit for plantations, they have gone bankrupt.
Paatru: Described as "toad-like", they live in the inner part of Argonia.
Sarpa: Described as being "winged", though it's unclear if this is meant literally or not. They live in the interior of Argonia.
Nagas: They are described as having "huge mouths filled with dripping needle-like fangs". Usually seven to eight feet tall, the Nagas appear to be more snake-like than other Argonians. When the other races were attempting to put plantations into Argonia, they generally acted as highway robbers; however, since the other races ceased trying to put plantations in Argonia, they have left the roads and have gone back into the inner swamps.

Only a certain form of Khajiit is referred to as a cat. Their form depends on the phase of the moon when they're born.

All races got "nerfed", my favorite race (Breton) lost the primary trait I liked which was a magicka bonus that didn't require me to be tall, golden and effeminate.

My character is none of those things. Well... pale maybe. High Elves aren't effeminate because they are tall and golden they're effeminate because they're Elves.
