Do you guys think that society itself is going more down a cynical path? Because has more people become more aware of what happening around the world and more see how people or countries are acting and how mainstream media tends to be bias towards a certain view; do you think it effecting the young minds to be loath humanity or rather focus on themselves primarily and not care about other people that much or none at all?

I think there is a bit of a tendency to associate a cynical worldview to being a mature worldview these days, kids pick up on that and carry it on into their advlt lives. I like to focus on the good because I know the bad sells better and gets more coverage in the news than the good, so it seems like the world is falling to pieces bit by bit but in reality it's building faster than it's breaking apart. As far as each individual goes I just try to be the kind of person everyone else is, if I do that then I'll at least never have a reason to loathe all of humanity, seeing as that way there will always be at least one person I agree with and like.

Society is getting stale and has been stenching for quite a while now. Everything from clothing to ones disposition (way of thinking/philosophy) has been industrialized into a factory/materialistic world view for a lot of people, and its kind of sad that this is what people consider normal and conventional, its rather shameful and self destructive, but people won't realize what ideals were false until they fractured society, such as drugs and slavery. People just don't seem to get it, they say they are wise and end up doing some really wasteful things with others and themselves. History will show us who the fools really are, past, present and anything possible of happening in the future.

The economy is down so people are more cynical. When the economy picks up again, so will optimism.

Get off the internet for a bit, you might just see an improvement.
