Are we being heard?

Now this is the Bethesda fourms and I truly only have a simple question, are the developers even looking at what we say and what we want? seriously fourms must be the developers greatest weapon in making games that will sell cause they have an audience, theres concerns, and wish-lists on here that I don't even think Bethesda even looks at, personally I think the deveolpers stopped caring for what we wanted, which is revolution. Fallout NV was just literally Fallout 3 placed in the desert with some new features us gamers wanted but we wanted them in a new game, not a copy. Fallout 1 to Fallout 3 was a huge step, but wheres the next step, NV was just a step to the side, GTA 3 to GTA 4 big step, now GTA 5 is coming out theres an even bigger step, Far Cry 1 to Far cry 2 huge step, again now Far Cry 3 is out thats an even bigger step forward. This is just my opinion, If Fallout is going to take that next big step the developers need to listen to the Fallout community!

Well, you might want to direct any concerns regarding FONV to the devs who made it. Bethesda published it. Obsidian made it. Strangely enough, most people did consider that they listened to what the players were asking for; hardcoe mode wasn't in FO3.

Personal opinion; while I do hope that the devs take into account things the players want, I do not want them to attempt to implement every half-baked idea that someone thinks will be the GREATEST THING EVAH!!!!!! There are concepts and ideas that are good, and some that should never see the light of day. Listening to the community could be the worst possible thing they could do, actually. I remember some of the stuff that people were wishing for before FO3 and FONV came out, and I have to admit I'm thankful that the devs didn't use some of the those ideas.

  • Fallout 1 was not even made by Bethesda - it was made by Interplay in 1997, years before Bethesda bought the rights to the series.
  • Fallout: New Vegas was much more than "Fallout 3 placed in the desert." And it was also not developed by Bethesda.
  • Fallout 4 has been announced, but no release date has been set. It's probably a couple of years away though.
I could go on and on and on, but it's late where I am and I'm tired. I expect things are going to get a little warm for you.
