Are books more than stories?

Wolf Queen. And many others. It's part of the ES fascination - this stuff just fits together.

Some of the books give you great background on the various factions. On of the Books goes very deep into the history of the Blades. Very interesting and give sort of spoilers of why that faction pans out as it does.

If anyone is interested, you're now able to have all the books in skyrim on your iphone/android/kindle. Have it on my android using kindle amazon, been reading lots of the books now!

I'm about to go investigate a couple of the books I've read that had a story about an event taking place in Skyrim. Hopefully I find some stuff!

I stumbled across a book that went into detail about someone actually trying to live with Draugr's. It was actually pretty funny to read. He apparently kept fending them off and the draugr pretty much just decided to start ignoring him

First time reading the book about Red Eagle didn't start the quest for me (nor did I know it was supposed to) so, I was pleasantly surprised when I later on stumbled across that particular place/loot and recalled reading about it. Too bad all quests are designed with quest markers in mind, I'd rather have hints and search for locations myself.

Like many, I have piled up quite the collection of books in one of my houses. One day I just tried to read through as much material as I could and I couldn't even get half way through the collection because I kept having to hunt down the secrets that these books talk about. These books are really the most unsung success of the game.

There are sooo many books I just assumed they were filled with BS except the ones with immediate benefit. If not, I will pay more attention to them as that is awesome!

Awesome. That's the kind of stuff I like to hear about. Makes me happy that the designers still had the hardcoe gamers in mind.

Yep treasure maps are awesome. I found Treasure Map III, IV and X so far. So there is at least ten of them.. :) The only one that i found so far was the treasure of the tenth map, i knew the location, but the other two is hard and i have no idea where is it :)

I have three and four as well, I found both of their treasures. It was fun to search around and look and relook at the map, so I won't ruin it for you by telling you where to find the loot.

I'm really happy that Bethesda has chosen to go back to what they did in Morrowind with books. Lore books for all the lore lovers, treasure books and maps for all the treasure lovers, stories for story lovers and of course skill books that you don't even have to read to gain the benefit of. This game is so rich and full of life, I can't help but be ecstatic whenever I play and find something new.

Great!

I see a lot of ideas that we discussed in http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1215202-bookworm-quests have been implemented in the game.

That is great news, and like to pretend that we had contributed just a tiny bit.
