So are we finally able to create attractive characters?

The characters in rift(the ones i have seen) and final fantasy imo look like cheap and hokers as the OP describes them :P

A woman with a flawed feature or two is much more beautiful in my eyes than one that just looks and screams fake.

...that sounds pretty corny but it is true to me.

I actually totally agree, nothing is less appealing to me than a flawless perfect and artificial female character along the lines of manga and jrpgs.

What kind of characters are beautiful? Anime or manga? Luckily TES was never a anima franchise nor did it feature skimpy outfits in the vanilla game! I think its better when characters fit to the lore instead of appealing to a specific sixyness-level ... Frankly, the Oblivion character creator was kinda "hardcoe", yeah. But I never had a problem with Skyrim vanilla models since I never intended to create a 18 years old female model with hairsprayed hair, make-up, too much lipstick and so on.

Anyway I heard that TERA models look like cheap hokers too!

I suspect OP is a man, never undertood why men play woman chars in RPG's.
Character creator looks like the best TES char creator so far, so I suspect you will be happy...

I'd like to be able to make them MORE "imperfect" than what skyrim offers, still "hot" to me, I'm not gonna pretend I make female characters with no consideration for six appeal, I just have different tastes than most. Height and weight sliders would go a long way for me, and some wider nose options.

From what I've seen of the character creator vid ESO's character creation looks vastly superior to Skyrim. It's on par with some of the mods.

Personally, I prefer imperfections too. My favourite Nord that I created in Skyrim has a broken nose, freckles, scars, and a scowl that'd freeze a flame atronach. A nice mix of beauty and raw power.

You could make a decent character without mods. There were limits, since iirc the sliders were locked together; adjust one and others changed,

Keeping in mind that everyone has different preferences and opinions, of course. And given the propensity of so many posters to demonize Oblivion for some reason, the game did have both good and bad points. Good point for me was being able to change the faces; Morrowind didn't have that; you could choose different faces, but not make changes in the features of those set faces. Unless you downloaded a mod, I think Rhedd's Heads was one, and again, it changed out the whole head. Skyrim added more changes to character creation. The next game will be different again.
