EA ARE F**KING CRYTEK OVER THE SAME WAY CRYTEK F**KED US

The evidence is right there, if you look around a bit and you use your brain.

Don't you think it's strange there has been ZERO acknowledgement of the DECIMATION MAP PACK from Crytek themselves on their own website and forum?

Look at the EA Crysis 2 website instead and you will see it advertised as expected: http://www.ea.com/crysis-2/blog/dlc-decimation

Where's that joker-bot Cry-Adam lately? Why isn't he answering questions about the new DLC? Why hasn't his incompetent arse dropped in to inform buyers of the DLC of how the content has been worked into matchmaking?

I'll tell you why: it's because EA has over-ruled CRYTEK and gone ahead and released the DLC ahead of the agreed and pre-determined time in order to minimise their losses and maximise their margins.

Clearly, Crytek disagreed with this move - hence the radio silence ever since. The main page still advertising the RETALIATION MAP PACK is proof of this. Crytek want nothing to do with the fallout this will obviously cause; especially on their precious little garbage message board; the place where conmen masquerade as "support".

The biggest loser in all this is those who buy the new (hastily released) DLC: Crysis 2 is abandoned by its developer - expect no further support for the game. EA have taken your money and ran. Damage limitation is the name of the game and purchasers are the victims.

Do not buy the DECIMATION MAP PACK.

Yeah, while I agree with most of that statement, the people who aren't buying the DLC are just limiting themselves on actually enjoying the game. There's a lot of people in the map lobbies and they are very good, along with finally another weapon to compete with the Feline. Like it or not, this DLC is actually worth the $10, compared to the last. I might make that accusation if this DLC was the same as the last, but its not.

It's how business works mate. Maximize your earnings and minimize your losses.

Also true your just wasting your money if you buy it - You wouldn't buy your car a Sat Nav if the engine didn't work?

Really, when I boot it up every time it seems like the engine is working fine. Now sometimes I might randomly lose some energy, or I might get kicked in to a laggy game every 1 in 20 or so. So yeah, by your anology I would. My engine works fine. I have an exhaust leak and the speedometer makes a grinding noise when its cold and my O2 sensor is shot, but I think I can still afford that sat nav. ;)

Look, you have a shooter that was suppose to compete with Halo, but it will not out sell Halo. Where as Crysis 2 is on multiple consoles and Halo is not (Sad). It was EA and Cryteks fought that this happened. EA is not seeing the projected profit due to Cryteks lack of involvement with the game. Remember, EA owns the publishing rights to Crysis 2. All the DLC was already made for this game before it was released. Crytek is receiving royalties off this product. All the marketing financing is backed by EA. If EA is not seeing enough profit within a set time, all the marketing dollars goes away. Crytek did a horrible marketing campaign on their product and the value decreased immediately after 60 days. Crysis 2 should had held its current value around $59.99 for the first 90 - 180 days, but you can get it now for $39.99. Battlefield Bad Company 2 held its value for two years and it is around $39.99 now. Sadly enough Homefront is holding its value at Gamestop at $59.99 after its 90 day release and Halo Reach is holding its value after one year at $59.99. Retailers are not buying games that are not holding its value.

If Crytek was trying to stay in the medias ear and did much more in their forums teaching players about how to play and enjoy the game, the game would be selling like hot cakes right now. I think it is too late for Crysis 2. EA is already dumping the last of the DLC for the tail spinning Crytek Engine fail. I love the game, but it's terrible that Crysis is Crytek's flagship, but they are not patching the big holes, but they are watching it sank.

I love the game, but it's terrible that Crysis is Crytek's flagship, but they are not patching the big holes, but they are watching it sank.

The game's value dropped so quickly because everyone knows the game is broken, this game had great word of mouth until people bought it and half way through SP the game turned to a grainy mess, then they went online to escape the SP glitches and frustration but only met the worst lag in recent memory.

3.5 months later and they still can't even fix the SP, people may be accustomed to buggy MP but when the SP is a glitchy mess the developer looks like they don't know how to program at the professional level - especially when it a FPS - this isn't some massive open world game or anything.

So sad, could have been a great game but after 3.5 months when I think of Crytek and Crysis 2 all I feel is great disappointment and the feeling of being completely ripped off. Seriously, my patience is done, f-Crytek I waited forever for the grain glitch and sound to be fixed and they can't because compared to the rest of the industry they're amateurs at programming on consoles.

I would have understood if they COMMUNICATED with me so I had an idea what was going on and whether they even possess the skill to fix the long standing day 1 issues. Stuff like patch notes before the patch goes a long way to help promote good customer service - i've been so disappointed so many times.

Every patch was like expecting a great FPS game for Xmas then getting Crysis 2, the broken SP bug fest that's the worst almost good game that should be great but isn't. Needless to say the disappointment was immense.

Signed one very disgruntled customer who won't buy Crytek crap again.

Fool me once...
