So... Are patches coming anytime soon?

Post » Sun Jan 17, 2016 10:43 pm

It's been 2 months, and we've only had one real patch for the game since... Which didn't fix all that much.

oh sorry turning off autosave didn't work for you. It normally works on crashes from leaving buildings or fast traveling.

Not counting the various CTD related bugs:

1. The settlement defense quest "WorkshopSynthInfiltrator02" is just broken and you need to either take the hit on it, or if you're on the PC you have to use the console command to skip it.

2. Every one of the "level 4" merchants is completely and utterly broken.

"You cannot drop quest items" yes but I'm currently level 62, that particular 'item' I am so laboriously trying to get rid off is from a quest I finished when I was level 4, I don't need it!

I have over 40 items permanently grafted into the misc section of my pipboy, that means every note, every holotape I pick up I gotta sift through all that crap to find them.

And ash/plasma piles not clearing up properly. No not properly sorry, my mistake. EVER! They never clean up. I don't mind bugs with quests because, to be fair to Bethesda they do usually fix them(except blood on the ice)but the quest item and ashpile problem has always been an issue.

As with every Bethesda game, there's quite a lot to fix. Such as the attacks on settlements when Synth infiltrators are involved, as can be seen in the various threads about that. That's rather a biggie and not some minor bugout.

This is probably the slowest I've ever seen from Bethesda.

Skyrim had better support at launch.

If you need patches that bad just don't play the game right now and wait... Bethesda isn't going to make patches any faster just because you made a post on a internet forum...

That has to be .... I don't know what, unless I say something, I might regret later.

Bethesda has quite a history of not taking care of their bugs and glitches. Modders took care of them. On PC, so that leaves averyone playing on console out in the rain. I can't imagine them not being aware of the problems, such as Synth infiltrator attacks being broken or certain NPCs bugging out on people. Like Curie going back to vault 81 or that science gal in vault 81 not being recruitable as a trader for many people.

I love the game, but it's bugged like every Bethesda game and it would be a nice change, if they actually did something about that.

At launch I think Fallout 4 has been the most stable bethesda game so far, but you're right there are some issues that need to be fixed. There are a lot of problems with settlement attacks - so many that I installed a mod that turns those off. I'd also like to see them address the radiant quest problem with Preston Garvey so that he only gives minutemen quests when you ask for them or hear them on the radio.

Yeah, it is the most stable. But there are a lot of bugs and, frankly, I don't want to install that no attack mod, since it takes away part of the game I don't want to be taken away. I only want it ot make sense, and I don't think, it's too much to expoect from a company selling a product to fix issues.

And it only took them about 2 years to make Skyrim barely playable on consoles.

Content's secondary. Fixes would be welcome. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, I don't think, you're privy to their decision making.

I put in over a thousand hours on Xbox 360. Yes, after all was said and done, there were a few minor bugs left behind, but the game is perfectly playable.

Once again I'm playing a Bethesda game on a console, and it really is their most stable launch yet. I've had a few crashes here and there, and having placed items fall on the ground or disappear is annoying. But I've had no major issues in two playthroughs (just started a third) bringing me up to about 200+ hours of enjoyment.

I'm sure they are hard at work. Why, didn't they recently patch cats and dogs into Fallout Shelter? See? Busy as bees.

The main problem is i think todd kept saying they will hand out more patches and they want to deliver these patches faster than before with other games. This was said before the game was released.

The argument with holiday cant be taken serious, if a gaming company decides to launch a game shortly before the holidays start they dont take this route to do YOU a favour. They want to profit from sales. Therefore some people must have a smaller holiday to keep up the work. Or if you know you cant keep up due to the holidays simply delay the release for two months. Everyone can go on vacation then. But you cant say ok we take the christmas sale but [censored] it we are off the next weeks. If you decide to release a few weeks before the holiday season starts you should have plan when and how things roll out. With or without holidays. Shouldnt matter to us.

In short: fallout is a great game but when todd says they will ship out more updates and more frequently they better do it! And so far todd was lying.

Since destiny im pissed off about broken promises from game developers
