EA, Are We Sill in Beta?

Post » Wed Feb 17, 2010 1:01 pm

You do not realease a game that is not finished yet. So why have you released Crysis 2 EA?

Let me list the problems:

1. Servers
I have joined 8 servers, and only 1 started a match after waiting 30 plus minutes. I have been unable to play since then.

2. Graphics
Where is DirectX11? The mutliple threads already made on this topic should fill you in.
Besides that, you just give us options for "High, Very High", and "Extreme". You give little amount of advanced options, such as AA, HDR, or Bloom.

3. Key Problems
Users (Me one of them) backed you up by preordering the game. We trusted you to deliver a good product. Instead, I can't redeem my limited edition items, or even get the game to save my key! Instead, I have to search for the answer on your forums?

4. Server Browser
Terrible. Terrible, terrible, terrible. Filter settings are not saved, pings seem to go at intervals of 109, 110, and 125.

I wouldn't be so angry EA, if I wasn't faced with similar issues in Bad Company 2 which were not fixed despite it being out for over a year. I understand

Thanks for making a new thread. No one has mentioned any of these issues yet...You obviously missed an important logic lesson in your earlier years of life, let me give you a brief recap:

The more people that complain, the more likely that a company is to realize they have a problem and fix it.

Example A
Electronic Lemons is selling lemonade on a corner for 60 dollars, boasting "The lemons look amazing". 10 thousand people buy 1 of these lemons. The lemons do not look as amazing as advertised, so Dave (and only Dave) complains to Electronic Lemons. Since only 1/10,000 people have an issue, the company doesn't view it as urgent.

Example B
Electronic Lemons is selling lemonade on a corner for 60 dollars, boasting "The lemons look amazing". 10 thousand people buy 1 of these lemons. The lemons do not look as amazing as advertised, so 5,000 people complain to Electronic Lemons. Since 1/2 people have an issue, the company views it as urgent.

Now Borss, in which example do you think Electronic Lemons is more likely to fix the problem? Example A, or B?

Id rather see example C where everyone posts in Dave's existing thread instead of cluttering up the lemon forums with duplicate topics, as a result keeping new lemon complaints from getting pushed of the front page too quickly.
