Are Telvanni Robes any good?

Post » Mon Jan 27, 2014 10:53 am

Are the Telvanni Robes any good? I think they're the best looking robes in the game and It would complete my Dwemer character's look. But looking at the enchantments on it, it's only 75% magika regen. I see robes that have over 100% regen with cost reduction to them. Are these robes worth getting?

In terms of enchantments, not really. You get to a certain point, though, where the look and feel of your character is more important than the stats of their equipment.

Your call.

If you're an master enchanter, you can put a powerful cost reduction effect on them.

But I were you, I wouldn't pay to much attention to stats, if you think it will increase the look and feel of your character, go for it.

For a Male character for RP, yes.

For a PC User with a Female character and access to Mods and the ability to get the 150% Regeneration version without the "Heartstone" access, yes.

If you're on PC and are capable of enchanting your own stuff, take a look at http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/31854/?.

The enchantment is the easiest in the game to come across but if you like the look of them on your character then nothing wrong with them. You still have headgear, hand gear, footwear, ring, amulet slots hat you can enchant yourself.

Dwemer version of the Ebony Warrior...

Along with all the other armor types...

http://i.imgur.com/jgXOOPo.png I put them all in a free-for-all tournament and everything...

...

I really do need to try that Dwemer certified mod though... Not sure what in Oblivion I'm procrastinating for... guess I'm trying to think of a role-play for it or something. But it looks very cool.

You can always make up for it enchantment wise on other gear. Go for it. The Robes are Fashion Scrolls.

You guys have s

Yeah, I'm a bit more aesthetic than stats, but what I wear and the effects they have are also important

Ah yes, the last perk on the Enchantment tree I believe is where you can add 2 enchantments haha, I completely forgot about that :D

That is way too generic and I want to go for something a little more different. He's a Noble Dwemer, and robes suit him well. Only heavy armor I'd wear is the Dwarven Gauntlets, but that's only because I pretend they're Wraithguard when I'm wielding Keening :P

Dwemer armor, one of the most ornate and detailed armors in the game, generic? It's your ancestral armor for Numidium's sake! :bonk:

Are you on PC? There's a Dwemer robes mod I think.

Thank God someone feels the way I do. Dwarven armor is too underrated. I love it!

That was the wrong word to use. Dwemer armor is my favorite armor, but for me, I've always played a heavy armored guy, and so doing so again would just be same old same old you know :\

and no, I don't have it on PC unfortunately :( other wise I would have gotten the Dwemer race mod, Dwemer beard mod, and as you stated, Dwemer robes mod :3

It's my favorite armor, It's just that almost all my playthroughs have been heavy armor, and wearing heavy armor again would just be repetitive. Changing it to robes is much more fun this time around, for I have never done it :D

Yes, they're good. there is actually a hidden enchantment that allows you to summon Divayth Fyr's ghost to fight for you.

You have the robes and know the enchantment and what it does, judge for yourself. personally i found them useless.

That's understandable.

Just out of curiosity, what race are you using? Pale Dunmer or Bosmer?

Also be sure to get the Aetherial staff, so you can summon Dwemer automatons. Oh, and the Dwemer Spider or Sphere follower from Solstheim.

I don't usually summon anything other than daedra, since the Dwemer liked to babble with them.

But, the automatons are their life and soul. The very extension of their beings.

Dwemer weren't conjurers. They challenged them, but they weren't trafficking lesser daedra. They had their minions in the form of machines.

I used a light skinned Bosmer because they look the most like the Dwemer. High elves not so much, and dark elves no; too wrinkly and angry looking, plus lore. The Dwemer were known to have nearly flawless skin and pale. http://i.imgur.com/3CWs8W8.jpg, pretty bad quality though :\ Also, the brows are actually much thinner, but the lighting wasn't the greatest. I might post more pics later :P
