Are the Divines represented?

Post » Thu Mar 20, 2014 4:34 am

Hi all,

Just wondered today if the divines are represented in any meaningful way? I.E. Quests, amulets bestowing buffs?

In Skyrim I got well into Arkay and would be pleased as punch if I could gain an amulet of his, or do quests for his priests(esses), or just hang out in undercroft Overseers chambers. They were always such warm and serene havens from the wilds and cities.

Yes, Rings of Mara and a wedding! (it is up to the player to see how big the wedding is...)

Dunno personally, but i have to say i wouldn't be surprised if you could at some point. I mean i met two 'beings' that i had met in previous TES games already, and i was only up to the tier 2 cities.

I would have loved to have a choice on character creation to pick a divine to worship, or have a list of really minor passives (food lasts 2min longer, you find .5% more gold, dialogue choices based on diety you worship) that you have access to when you worship at an alter.

I remember running into an area in Cyrodiil in which there were several quests involving the worship of Zenithar.

However, I could understand if the worship of the Divines isn't played up, because the Empire that generally enforces that worship has fallen. The orcs, the Nords, the Dunmer, the Argonians, and maybe even the Khajiit would likely worship gods other than the Divines if there's no Empire around.

What's up with the titles of threads recently... I read them and get a completely different image in my head than what was intended...

"AKATOSH IN THE HOUSE!"

"AZURA REPRESENTIN!"

(when asked if the Divines are represented)

Just thought

''Are the divines are represented in any meaningful way? I.E. Quests, amulets bestowing buffs?''

would be too long a topic title.
