Don't forget the Reba sniper ( .50 ) and the Justice Combat shotgun
I gave NIck my Shredding minigun. He actually does pretty good with it so I keep him stocked up with all the bullets I can find for it.
Sometimes I'll also equip settlers with them. I usually give my settlers a variety of guns and one ammo of each type so they can try them out.
Some things that seem useless to us are put to good use in the hands of a settler.
Justice is really nice. Are you talking about Reba II? Because I didn't find that to be anything special. It's just a sniper rifle that does an extra 50% damage to bugs and mirelurks.
Should I go back and kill the guy to get Reba I?
I found the kneecapper to be useful, rechambered for the .50 ( I think I had to rechamber it). I know its easy to take down enemies but like the gun in FO3 you had to build to cripple limbs ( I forget the name) it works wonders on Deathclaws.
Nope, that's deceptive, put a long barrel on that bad fella, but use a short range reflex scope on it and use it as a close range weapon. You'll thank yourself later.
Those who say the minigun is worthless have you ever tried it on your companion?
I put a fully upgraded ashbringer (bonus fire damage) minigun on my companion and she was just immediately killing all enemies in sight.
She did go through like ~3000 rounds in less than an hour of play though heh.
I like the looks of the Institute weapons but agree that the damage is really underwhelming. It makes sense to me though that the Institute would outfit their fairly disposable Synths with fairly disposable weapons. I do wish there was a prototype or other one off end game level institute blue energy weapon. maybe turn in the alien blaster and get a hybrid weapon back or something.
