Are there any dungeons with more than one path?

Post » Thu Dec 15, 2011 2:14 pm

It seems like all the dungeons have only one path, it's kind of boring. Anyone know of any that have branching pathways?

(this is not a symptom specific to Skyrim either I see it in most all new RPGs)

On a similar note, are there any dungeons that you don't clear in one go? Ie, a quest might take you to the dungeon, but you don't need to go all the way through it to finish the quest, and there are other quests that will take you further in/to different parts of the dungeon.

I would say I've been to almost 100 dungeons and most of them are linear. I actually enjoy then this way but a lot of them do have separate pathways and giant open rooms with branching paths. I still consider then linear though. If your looking for most branching dungeons your going to want to visit the dwemer ruins. Those are the best as far as large dungeons go.

Yes there is, off the top of my head though I can only think of the labrynthian. There is 3 entrances and two quests all have to do with that dungeon. Oh and also a very cool place that has to do with those dragon masks you have been finding.

Several dwemer ruins can be solved more than one way. Blackreach is the ultimate example. Labyrinthian seemed that way to me as well. After oblivion gates which included a ton of getting lost I thought skyrim had a nice balance.

I went to Blackreach, but the lag was so incredible I couldn't properly explore it. So I just ran through, looking at the ground. -sigh- yet another place I couldn't have appreciated due to unbelievable lag on the ps3 version.

Lol I feel so bad for people that bought a ps3. Sony really messed up. Bethesda should never Of released skyrim to ps3 but they were being greedy.

I agree. They should have at least spent 6 more months fixing and trying to make the ps3 version remotely playable, not the console killer it is now. I've heard a bunch of reports of people's PS3's breaking because of Skyrim. I am really ashamed. So I'll just buy a 360 and Skyrim for X-Mas, so I can play it.

Preferably quests, but other content is nice too. Afaik the only place that comes to mind for other content is
Spoiler
the nordic ruin near Iverstead
, though I've still got a bit of exploring to do.

Hey now! How do you know where I am in the MQ? (actually haven't gotten to the masks yet, but it's been spoiled for me before)
