To give you a serious answer...no, there really isn't. It's pretty unfortunate, but I'm kind of glad. If they would have let the players fight for the Raiders, BOS, and other groups, well.....well, that would have been stupid.

My suggestion is to simply loot places (and people). It's a really good way to make money, albeit sometimes boring and too easy. Remember, ammo doesn't weigh anything, so you can always hold as much as you want.

There is a slavers guild, if that answers your question. And the caravans have a sort of Guild like system, unoffically.

The Brotherhood of Steel, Enclave, Raiders, Slavers, Supermutants, Caravan Merchants and The Family. They are all some sort of guild but not joinable in the game. Too bad, it would be fun if you could join them.

The slavers aren't really a guild. It's more like that one quest in OB where you could bring that dude vampire dust in exchange for gold. And there are several things like that in Fallout 3.

@Blackninja: The OP wanted to know if there were any guilds that he could actually join. Hence his money problem.

Sigh, it's a gameplay question about Fallout 3 than a question about lore. Christ, it should've been asked in Fallout 3 General subforum since they'll tell you right away that TES-styled factions in the game don't exist.

I assume that means the OP wants to join a guild so he can make money. That's why I answered the way I did. He can very well make money working slavers, but you don't really JOIN it and there aren't really quests, like the normal guilds in Oblivion.

EDIT: If I'm totally missing your point just say so. I get confused easily...

This is the MF'n LORE catagory. Not the fallout 3 question and answer.

In fallout LORE, yes there is a Slavers guild, there was an office of the Slaver's guild in "The Den" in fallout 2.

I have five characters that I have played in the game so far finished it with 2 and just exploring the game with the other 3. I have never found it hard to acquire caps just loot everything and every one you kill get your science and lock picking skills up and you will always have caps get to rivet city early on for anther place to trade and always repair your stuff with the merchants before selling that way if you have a fair amount of gear you can usually make a profit out of each transaction but you will find most of your caps go on stimpaks and radaway. hope this helps. As for guilds why would you want to join one you are supposed to be a one person army of good, neutral or evil not one of many.
