Wut? There are plenty of non-cave dungeons.

I ignore most of the caves on my map. There's so much other stuff I don't see why you would keep going into caves.

This is TES bread n butter. It's been that way since Daggerfall. I missed out on 90% of Oblivion's content because I didn't like the caves either. Thankfully Skyrim's caves are a little less generic. But I agree. I have no idea what the fixation with caves is...

Well, there is so many quests that aren't quest-related...


And there are so many awesome caves out there....
Some of them are really like art...
They're stunning sometimes.

I specifically remember when I preorderd the game the guy asked me if I wanted the guide. I never use the guides because it kills the experience but his selling point for the guide was that there were something like 150+ dungeons . Everything article I read or video I watched also alluded to the numerous cave and dungeons. sooooooo I think its safe to say you should have expected caves
