Wow, it sounds like you have a bunch of easy battles. If I had only one potion of each type, I would probably die 100 times before reaching level 2 in the FCOM world.


Heh! Well, that's why I don't go for extreme difficulty. They actually take AWAY from the game because they reduce you down to your strongest tactics used over and over again e.g. potion guzzling. Balancing a game properly forces you to make decisions about WHEN to use those strong tactics rather than just ramping up enemy strength.

Those two modifications you want to do do not sound too hard. Send Phitt a PM or something to get a push in the right direction, in terms of what type of scripting you need to do.

Well, it is clear we have different opinions about balance, but I agree with balancing the game for your play anyway, more than willing to help here. On that note, the other place you could try posting is the OBSE thread. It does not sound like it would be too hard to write a script that counts the number of points the PC has used and then a script that flashes a message like "you have already used the max number of potions today." Doing that by type might be harder because of mod-added points. However, going as specific as restorative, poison, alteration, etc. should be just as simple. For #1, it seems that the easiest method to achieve that would be to ask Phitt to release an add-on module.
