Are you able to find the DPI of a standard 3button mouse?

Hi,

In the past few days my new stuff has been delivered ( Cyborg Rat 7 Contagion + Logitech G510 ) and i'm very happy with them :) but i still haven't found the right DPI.

Ive played around with the DPI and ingame settings and i've found one which i think is okay - 900DPI@45sens but im still not a big fan of it as i still prefer the feel of my old mouse.

My first game with the mouse was 12-12 and others were pretty bad too... I don't recall getting these kind of scores since I first joined Crysis 2, lol.

So, is there anyway for me to find out what DPI a standard HP mouse has?
And could others maybe tell me their settings? :)

Thanks.

Regards,
Jared.

Hmm, I'm not sure, but here's some info on your mouse if it's that mouse:

"If you have purchased the HP 3-button mouse, the available resolutions are: 500 DPI, 1000 DPI (default),
1250 DPI, and 1500 DPI. When the resolution changes, the scroll wheel will blink as follows:
500 DPI: one blink
1000 DPI: two blinks
1250 DPI: three blinks
1500 DPI: four blinks"

The info is from an official HP pdf file.
As I see you are using high values for in-game settings, try adjusting on that if you can, maybe you'll find that sweet spot, which you had earlier.
I'm using a Razer Imperator with a settings of 900dpi with 2 in-game. Sometimes I make it a bit more higher, for example, guns that needs a lot of 90degree turns, such as shotguns. For those I use 1300-1600dpi with 2 in-game, depends on my mood for gaming. If I'm a bit lazy, I just set it on higher values and start using my wrist, but when I'm using low sense, I'm using my arm and my wrist, mixed up. Depends on the distance, the gun and the enemy's movement.
I hope I could help.
Cheers!

Edit: Meanwhile I was checking your link, I found your old mouse's res, it's 1000dpi, just scroll down a bit more on amazon and you'll see a more detailed description on it.
